Last week I got the chance to go to Malaysia and already in my plans that I wanted to go to Dermalogica @ Jusco Kinta City. Unfortunately when I went there it was not there anymore. The place was taken by Kenny Rogers ~ ROASTERS Malaysia

In this, I have to scroll around town to search and I managed to find Dermalogica!!!
Being a first timer to meet with an acquainted athestician, believing that they were professionals and would cared for their first time customers' needs as much as possible. After changed and laid down on the bed, closing my eyes, the asthestician started washing my face. Very nice and happy that at last my face was in the relax mood and pampered!!! As she started to dig out my zits started from forehead down to nose (I think it must be a lot until she does not has enough patience: I heard sigh...:-( ). Suddenly I sensed another asthestician came in to takeover the first asthestician. What happenned here?

This second astehstician finished the second part of my face from nose to neck. Then I realized that she moved back to my forehead...I know that I have one pimple that was hard to take out and pressuring this pimple to come out as much as possible. I wonder why forced it if this little pimple did not want to leave my face? After she was done, I have another sense that another asthestician was going to take over... what I realized that she was going to touch my forehead too!!! What's going on??

To put this short, I have never been in a situation where 3 asthesticians came to treat my face. What a privilege, I thought... Resulted with all these treatments, my face was actually freshed (they gave me double mask) and cleansed - exception with the focus on this pimple on my forehead and continuously changed of the asthesticians.

I think I would or would not go back. If I do go back, make sure to state specifically of the asthestician (Joanne Lee) to pamper my face. Is actually not a bad place to go if they do not have people coming in and out of my room, disturbing my relaxation and loudness of them talking and laughing...
Hmmm... Price? Not too bad when I went there they were having promotions.

3. Svenska Sowdrops har shapat upp sig rejält den senaste tiden. De har mängder utav produkter till mkt bra priser. Du finner bl.a. produkter ifrån Ole Henriksen och American Crew. De har fri frakt vid kortköp, men betalar du mot postförskott kostar det 85 riksdaler. Det tar ca 7 dagar att få din beställning, vilket är överkomligt.

2. På Lush finner du okonstlade, handgjorda skönhetsprodukter med underbara dofter. Ett stort plus är deras fantastiska utbud och coola förpackningar. Lush förknippas med naturlighet och bra ingredienser. Ett litet minus är att det tar hela 14 dagar innan du får din beställning. Ett stort plus är att du har 10 dagar på dig att retunera dina varor.

1. And the winner is.... Eleven. Här finner mängder utav märken till riktigt bra priser. Hos eleven finner du i princip allt du behöver och lite till. De har bl.a. ett stort utbud utav fönar, plattångar och andra stylingverktyg, till mkt bra priser. Du hittar bland annat märken som Smashbox, Dr. Brandt, (Madonnas favoritmärke) Philip B,  Paul Yacomene ( hårvård som bl.a. används av Kate Moss) och härliga produkter ifrån Hakansson. Ett hett tips är att testa Lip injection ifrån Too Faced för 199 kr. En Lip plumper som faktiskt fungerar. De sänder ditt paket inom 1- 2 dagar och har du tur får du lite samples med i din beställning. De har dock en fraktavg. på 55 kr på beställningar under 600 kr. Lite snålt, Eleven.

So what I would like to point out to the general public is this: when reading a weblog -- do make sure that the "facts" and the "reviews" you are reading are true facts and true reviews, not fabricated "reviews" made up by some busy corporate marketing department.

I clicked on the links on this particular website, to try to find out more information about their touted ingredients, Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline.  I wrote to the company for more information on their "clinical results" and asked these questions:

• May I have information on your clinical studies?
• Were these double-blind, controlled clinical studies?
• What were the parameters tested (ie, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, skin clarity, etc)?
• What was tested, the individual ingredient or the finished formula?  What was it tested against (placebo, regular moisturizer, glycerin, etc)?
• How long were the tests conducted?  How many participants were tested?

So ... I eagerly awaited my email response ... and recieved a form email which was basically another advertisement for Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline ... NO answers whatsoever to any of the specific questions I asked -- and "we hope this answers all your questions regarding x-y-z product.  Please feel free to contact us with any other questions or concerns that you may have concerning this product."  Yeah, WHATEVER -- thanks for nothing!!

Here's a fun fact: Of all the ingredients the FDA tests for cosmetics, only 1 out of 350 ingredients actually have activity in the skin when mixed in a formula -- so BUYER BEWARE!  Remember, it's more than does the product feel good and smell good -- does the product actually work?

Although I'd say that Special Clearing Booster is effective in terms of spot-size reduction, I was hoping for a more immediate lessoning of overall redness, which unfortunately this didn't deliver.

Dermalogica Age Smart Skin Resurfacing Cleanser ($45.50) gets rid of lollygagging dead cells as it cleanses thoroughly. Instead of scrubby beads or grains, lactic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid) does the work in a non-drying formula gentle enough to use twice a day on my slightly sensitive skin. The product info promises a noticeable difference in smoothness and brightness after just one use, but I'm a regular-exfoliation geek, so my gauge was whether my skin would remain smooth if I swapped my usual face wash and exfoliant for Skin Resurfacing Cleanser. My skin actually feels smoother -- whoa.

And of course because I exfoliate regularly, I use moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher every morning and stay out of the sun as much as possible. Removing dead layers from the skin gives a girl a fresh complexion, but also makes her more susceptible to sun damage if she doesn't use protection.

If only I could figure out what to do with all that extra time I'm saving every morning.

Written by Laura: If you're still using an exfoliant which relies on apricot husks or scratchy little spheres to scrub your face smooth, you're missing a trick. Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant is my one true skincare love and the only product I'm interested in having a monogamous relationship with.

Just mix this unassuming white powder with a splash of water in your hand, rub it into your face for a minute and prepare for dry bits and unsavoury scales to be swooshed away with the aid of rice enzymes and salicylic acid.

It's gentle, doesn't irritate skin and creates the perfect base for make-up when followed by any half-decent moisturiser. And while a pot of this wonder stuff doesn't come cheap at £24.90 (at the least) from HQHair, it does last for months - and I use mine every day. Obsessively.

Cancer research UK tell us that we should:

1. Stay out of the sun during the hottest hours, between 11 and 3;
2. Ensure that we never burn;
3. Try to stay covered up with a t-shirt, hat and sunglasses;
4. Take additional precautions with children;
5. Use factor 15+ sunscreen.

The only safe way to tan is by sunless tanning. This means using tanning lotions like the Phytomer Self Tan Gel. But still there are those who insist on acquiring a 'natural' tan by exposing their delicate skin to the ageing and potentially dangerous affects of the suns rays.

One way to lessen the amount of time needed to acquire the desired bronzed appearance is to use a tan accelerator. Grooming is a ritual I've always enjoyed because it quiets my mind and relaxes my body. Do you get flashes of insight while brushing your teeth or washing your hair, too?

Kiss My Face Moisture Shave, Cool Mint (left) - This product from "obsessively natural" company Kiss My Face is definitely "the best a man can get." The label says it's great for ladies too! ($7 - natural foods stores or larger grocery chains)

Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo (right) - Spendy! But once you try it, you'll see why. As you massage the shampoo into your hair, rosemary and mint fill your senses and your scalp begins to tingle slightly. They also make a Rosemary Mint Conditioner. ($18 - Aveda online, Aveda concept stores, salons)

Jason Rosewater Satin Shower Body Wash (below) - Yes, sensitive guys like roses. Paradigm subversion aside, I love this stuff. It's the perfect way to wash off a bad day and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. ($12 for 30 oz. pump - natural foods stores or larger grocery chains)

Blue Cammas Lavender Spritzer (left) - My mom makes this by hand from only select natural ingredients including high quality lavender essential oil and excluding animal and petroleum byproducts. If I take a shower before bed, I spray this on right after drying off for a peaceful night's sleep. ($6 - available exclusively from Blue Cammas)

Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser (below right) - I've had problem skin my entire life, and have searched almost as long for skin care products that cleanse without drying and moisturize without leaving oily residue. When I found Dermalogica, my search ended. This particular product is best for combination skin. It deep cleans and leaves skin soft and tingly. ($31-Salons that offer skin care and select online sources only. If you find this line cheaper somewhere else, it's probably expired or counterfeit - seriously.)

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (left) - This is a gentle daily exfoliant made of rice powder and other natural ingredients. It refines pores, sloughes off dead skin cells and gives your face a slight glow. I use it before I shave to prevent ingrown hairs and razor bumbs ($49).

Dermalogica Active Moist (right) - Simply the best facial moisturizer ever made, and worth every penny of its $50 price tag. I'm serious! It's very light and not at all greasy. Especially helpful for people with combo dry/oily skin.

Dermalogica SPF 30 Solar Defense Booster (below left) - Lack of an ozone layer got you down? Add a little dab of this to your moisturizer to keep the Donatella Versace syndrome at bay. ($43)

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Lavender Hand Lotion (below right) - Who knew essential oils of lavender and orange would smell so good together? ($6 - natural foods stores or larger grocery chains)

Tom's of Maine Natural Peppermint Whole Care Anticavity & Tartar Control Plus Whitening (left) - When I found out the national brand of toothpaste I was raised on contained artificial sweeteners that've been linked to MS and/or cancer, I grabbed Tom's off the shelf and never looked back. This will leave your mouth feeling clean and keep your smile bright. ($5 - natural foods stores or larger grocery chains)

Review: For gentle exfoliation to get smooth skin that tends to run on the oilier side of the pond. Powder formula means no fillers. Just add water, foam up in your hands, massage, and rinse! I like to use this whenever my skin starts feeling a little rough and I know I need to get rid of those pesky dead skin cells. I felt daily use was a bit too much for me.

Trick:You must add water before massaging on your face, unless you like your scrubs to be sandpaper rough

Packaging: Functional. You pour the powder out so no contamination. But the 2 large holes mean you need to be careful not to overdo it!

Fragrance: Rice-y. Actually contains rice powder...and a bunch of skin brightening/exfoliating goodies.

Price: Expensive. $49 for 2.6 oz at Dermstore.com

Product cousins: Haven't found a product sister; but I would say Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream is another well-made, gentle scrub that is probably more suited for dryer skin types.
