We've just got our hands on the first snippet (approx 1 minute) of Kylie & Dannii's cover of the ABBA classic 'The Winner Takes It All' which they have recorded for the soundtrack of the new BBC2 comedy Beautiful People. Keep reading to check it out.

The track will be available to buy as part of the 20 track soundtrack CD which will be released on the 20th of October.

KYLIE MINOGUE looks like she might have bagged a toyboy.
Here she is looking cosy with a smooth-looking, dark-haired mystery man at a Paris party.

They were guests at burlesque dancer DITA VON TEESE’s birthday party.

Kylie didn’t seem to mind that he had his arm wrapped around her waist.

And you can’t blame him, she looked fantastic.

Kylie looked to be in high spirits when she attended burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese's birthday party at Fendi ‘O’ at the Parisian Le Milliardaire club on Saturday night. Kylie looked absolutely stunning dressed in a full length floral print dress, strappy silver shoes and an oversized grey cardigan.

However as usual the press were more interested in speculating about her relationship with a dark haired mystery man who was snapped with his arm wrapped around Kylie's waist.

I know this is totally unrelated, but I couldn't resist posting this unreleased track which I've just come across entitled 'Still Your Face' which Kylie recorded with Nick Cave around the time of the Murder Ballads sessions. Thanks to Kane at SayHey for making it available.

I had wondered if Dita Von Teese and Kylie Minogue knew each other. They strike me as two individuals who would get along quite well. Both are unique, and icons in their own right. Perhaps it's my Australian bias, but if I had to pick a pop icon, it would be Minogue, not Madonna.

We arrived in the throes of the arriving autumn (which was fine by me) to find a crown on a stick (answers on a postcard).

Then followed a trip to "World's Largest Rock Shop". Where purchases were made shortly before said purchases were shattered into a thousand pieces in the street outside. Oops.

And then the "House Of Wax" which sternly advises us that "These waxworks are best enjoyed as snapshots in time".

On a cold, wet October day the "House Of Wax" was a little alarming. More so because (a) I was seemingly the only one there (b) the basement dedicated to murderers and torturers is actually genuinely quite unpleasant and (c) a smoke alarm kept going off leaving me do wonder whether I'd hear "I'm melting! melting!" being cried out in the distance.

That said we enjoyed our trip - some more than others - which also included a tour of the model village (is there anything greater than a model village), a game of air hockey, two piers and more charity shops than quite frankly was healthy.

Hailed as 'Queen of the Internet' following her double win at Wednesday's BT Digital Music Awards, Kylie has recorded a special video message to thank fans for their support! Kylie was crowned 'Best Pop Artist' while 'Kylie Konnect' - the first ever social networking site by an artist - was recognised as 'Best Innovation' at the awards ceremony held at the Roundhouse in London. Kylie was photographed leaving her house on Wednesday morning looking happy and relaxed and sporting some very attractive Gucci boots.

Congratulations to Kylie who was awarded Best Pop Artist and Best Innovation (for her social networking site Kylie Konnect) at last night's 2008 BT Digital Awards. Although she did not attend the awards Kylie sent a video message in which she thanked her team and also her fans for their support.

Matthew Dearden marketing director for BT Consumer said, "The music industry is continuing to evolve, with artists and record companies seeking new ways to communicate with fans digitally. The BT Digital Music Awards recognises the artists who are delivering the best in cutting-edge digital music entertainment."

This rare Kylie interview from 2002 was posted over at SayHey by JamieDurie69 and I thought you might enjoy it. Take 40 Australia Salutes Kylie features an exclusive interview with Kylie by Australian DJ Barry Bissell and was recorded backstage at The Bercy in Paris during the Fever tour.

With his hit Channel 4 show Celebrity Ding Dong back for another series on the 10th of October, Alan Carr says that he's got used to working with famous people. However during an interview for Radio 1 earlier today Alan admitted that when he met Kylie backstage at one of her recent concerts he was star struck.

"I went to see Kylie's gig and I'm sitting there and get a tap on the shoulder and they say Kylie would like to meet you backstage." he explained. "So I'm dead nervous

and go into her dressing room and she pretends to lift her glasses, does an impression and says, 'It's me, Alan'. That's absolutely amazing, I just can't imagine Kylie sitting there in her gold hot pants watching the telly.

"I've met her a few times. I talked to her very drunkenly at the Brits and I swear I gobbed on her face because I was so drunk. Not deliberately, but you know when a bit comes out - spittle it's called." Alan also revealed that Kylie is on his wish list of celebrity co-hosts for his other Channel 4 show, The Sunday Night Project.

Kylie is no stranger to comedy with several cameo appearances under her belt. She appeared as herself in an episode of The Vicar Of Dibly with Dawn French, played Kim's daughter Epponnee in an episode of the hit Australian comedy Kath & Kim and yesterday recorded a cameo appearance for a new BBC3 sketch show, Horne & Corden.

The first step to take is to decide on what mood you want to create in your home and create a sympathetic background through the use of colour on your walls. Available in many styles they will really help set the scene at the dinner table or shed some light on a reading corner, so be sure to keep a plentiful stock of them handy. Sticking with the subject of lighting, try resituating your mirrors just behind any lamps or lights, they really help spread the light by reflecting it back into the room rather than swallowing it up the way matt painted walls sometimes can. You also might want to change your patterned or dark coloured lampshades for lighter coloured ones which will allow much more light to escape through the fabric.

Adding layers of fabric for texture will definitely add warmth to any space. Think woollen throws, suede rugs, silk cushions, heavy curtains. They are cost effective and easily packed away over warmer months, so really layer up your fabrics and soft furnishings for amazing winter style, the Kylie at Home range is particularly good for this.

Seasonal furniture is probably taking it a little too far for most of us but small inexpensive items that enable you to add the natural richness of dark wood will make all the difference. Picture frames, magazine racks or ornaments all come in limitless shapes and sizes and lots of different tones of wood so try make use of them.

Small changes such as arranging your seating around the fireplace will make all the difference with just a few of the cheap and cheerful extras mentioned above thrown in to really set the scene.
