You know how TV shows now a days always start off their seasons with two hour premieres that have more twists and turns than Lombard Street in San Francisco? They suck you in and get you excited about the season ahead. You see highlights from shows ahead and maybe a shot of the main character saying some cliche line like "now we play for keeps." Well apparently the NFL plays by its own set of rules, just like Tom Cruise in "Top Gun" or any human being on Earth in the game of "Risk" when their opponents look away from the board (how the Hell did those tanks end up on the Australian border?) because last night was the WORST match up they could have given us.

Maybe we need to bring Mel Gibson into this so he can tell us what fans want (I feel like Gene Shalot right now). We want offense! Give us points! Lots of them! So what does the NFL do? They put two teams with young quarterbacks and limited offensive weapons on national television and gushed over how it was such a great rivalry. First of all, a great rivalry is only great if both teams are actually good at football. The Giants and Redskins have been picked by many to finish out of the playoffs. Second of all, neither team's fans consider one another their greatest rival. I know people from New York and Washington and they both hate the Cowboys much more. So don't give us this second runner up beauty queen and tell us it's a great rivalry. Give us the gusto or give us death (all 5 people from the state of New Hampshire applaud).

It was also great that we got to see a guy who got hurt last year and is still a couple years away from being any good (Jason Campbell) and the guy who led the league in interceptions last year (Eli Manning) at the quarterback spots last night. Yes, I know Eli was part of the superbowl winning Giants, but I think we can all agree that was a full team effort rather than Eli playing out of his mind (the day the Pats fans recognize that Tom Brady's "wins" were also team efforts and not his Godly ability to play the game of football is the day I stop hating them). Eli should have had 3 interceptions last night. Instead he had one. Wow, awesome game Eli! Jason Campbell was even worse to watch. He looked more confused than I am when I try to do a Rubik cube. What an offensive showdown we got to see!!!!!!

They also gave us Al Michaels and John (expletive) Madden, two talking heads who made such comments as "well, they'll get one of those timeouts back on the change of possession." Are you kidding me Madden? You mean the clock stops after a change of possession? My 18 years of watching the NFL self had no idea. Thanks for the information jackass! I cannot stand announcing that states the extreme obvious. We are all fans. We understand the basic rules. I don't need an announcer to explain to me that the running back runs the ball the same way I didn't need my parents to explain to me that the Lorax got screwed in that Dr. Seuss book. I want an announcer to get me inside the huddle and explain things that I, as a non-professional football player, would not otherwise know. Madden gave up this ability years ago so why was he announcing the big premiere of the NFL this season? Damn you Roger Goddell.

Finally, who the Hell is running NBC? You morons over there couldn't figure out that you had two nationally televised events (the game and the George W. Bush for 8 more years, I mean, Republican National Convention) scheduled to overlap? Is a team of gorillas running this network? The game began at 4 PM PST which meant that most west coasters didn't catch the game until it was at least in the middle of the second quarter. Smart planning guys! Finally we have some people who can have a real conversation with Jessica Simpson without wanting to scratch their ears off.

So thanks for a terribly played football game NFL! Can we get the Dolphins and the Raiders next year?

What had changed in the the creeds of the news division of the American Broadcasting Company, the National Broadcasting Company? What had changed in 40 years?

Was there a sense in Washington, in New York of going through the motions? That this was just an exhibition game? That conventions were just a commercial? How did a news division go about presenting stories? Were George Stephanopoulos, Jeff Greenfield put into roles as cheerleaders rather than reporters, analysts? Were they instructed to ignore protestors like they were fans who tried to enter the playing field?

Questioning a football broadcast in prime time. These were national television stations, under the authority of the FCC. And if they did not care, why should the American public? Why should anyone tune in?

The lack of coverage of the four hour clash on the streets of St. Paul, not broadcast to the nation, was a story? Were there not enough protesters to justify a real story? Was it about the numbers?

Were their televised stories true or not? Comparing 1968 to 2008 and the coverage then, were there not enough numbers? Were there not enough protestors? Were there not enough broadcasters? In Iraq, were there not enough troops? Had not enough Americans died? Had the cost of the war not made this an issue? Was it just about ratings? Were these people true journalists. Was it about commercial time and sponsors?

Conventions could be seen as a national retreat, to reflect on identities. Instead platforms of the two parties are not focused on. Who care about creeds, if there were any creeds left?

The last 4 shots appeared to have been closer to the Cathedral of St. Paul. The volley was up to at least 24, since 20:08, in the last 8 minutes. There is no coverage of the goings on.

Bushville, where at least 100 of these demonstartors are staying in tents is at 400 Western Avenue North, about 7 blocks from where all this was happening, on the other side of University Avenue. This promises to be a very active night for area residents. None of this is being picked up by the traditional television media.

I think the protesters this week raised a valid question about what the "S" stood for in CBS. Was it the "system?" There was a story here. It was missed. Where was journalistic integrity this week in St. Paul?

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT OF MSNBC COVERAGE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING MCCAIN’S SPEECH AT THE REPUBLICAN C

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT OF MSNBC COVERAGE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING MCCAIN'S SPEECH AT THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION:

Chris Matthews: “This man has launched himself, I believe he will be ahead in the polls next week, they see a winner here, Americans like a winner, even though he, uh, had to do it the hard way."

David Gregory: “He said, ‘Make no mistake, we will win this election’ That wasn’t just rhetoric.”

Andrea Mitchell (on the convention floor being bombarded by balloons): “I’m right in the middle of the balloon drop if you can imagine… (unintelligible) …this was not a partisan speech. The celebration on the floor continues… The least partisan speech…(laughter from above) I am somewhere, somewhere on the floor of this convention, surrounded by balloons, and confetti, but it, it certainly does mirror the excitement of this crowd, and they were rallied to a cry, a cry for patriotism, a cry of service, and a much more personal description than John McCain has every before given about his service and what happened in that prison cell in Hanoi. And I think at this point-- I’m about to, uh-- be bombarded by balloons."

Keith Olbermann: “I think the term you’re looking for is flee! All right. Andrea Mitchell good luck, reporting from-”

Andrea Mitchell: “-somewhere on the floor-”

Keith Olbermann: “- the political equivalent of a Chuck E. Cheese apparently. Let’s go up to the safer vicinity of the uh, of the rafters, with Tom Brokaw, our NBC special correspondent.”

Tom Brokaw: “Let me just say at the outset however though, Brian, that I feel very very privileged to have reserved seats for Andrea 'Boom Boom' Mitchell and the dance of the Republican balloons."

Brian Williams: "A bunch of balloon-wielding thugs down there! Free Andrea Mitchell!”

Tom Brokaw: “Well look Keith, to get back to the business at hand -- look at her! She’s indomitable! Not these balloons, nothing will keep Andrea from reporting from the floor of the convention, something that we have known all of our lives. If you think John McCain is a warrior - a journalistic warrior is right there in the middle of those Republican balloons!”

Brian Williams: “I’ve been in Ramadi with that woman with automatic weapons going off - that didn’t stop her, but it appears mylar has stopped Andrea in her tracks.”

Tom Brokaw: “Listen, I think Keith, to get back-”

Keith Olberman: (Laughs) “There she is!”

Brian Williams: “The Where’s Waldo of this convention!”

Tom Brokaw: “Get that microphone Andrea up there with the NBC logo.”

Andrea Mitchell: “Right now, this is the biggest balloon - I’ve seen Reagan balloon drops. I’ve been covering conventions for decades, but I’ve never seen so many balloons at one time.”

Keith Olbermann: “Andrea you’re the target too.”

Brian Williams: “Andrea Mitchell is under seige.”

(laughter)

Tom Brokaw: “I think what you can say is, that the speech did work for this hall, which was an important part of what John McCain wanted to do.”

The winner will receive a fat check of notoriety from the Matter of F. A. Q. sponsors and crew. This notoriety will hopefully pay off in the form of higher ratings. Speaking of ratings...

WEEK #1's OBJECTIVE

RATINGS

This week's objective is to weed out the contestant with the lowest ratings. Unfortunately, we don't have access to Nielsen or his ratings so we'll use Google, everybody's friend. The contestant with the fewest Google search results probably has the lowest viewer ratings and thus the weekest link for this week's competition. And since ratings are worth so much in TV dollar$, the winner of this challenge is wholly exempt all the way until the final round. Drum Roll...

That.... leaves.... us.... with.... no.... other..... option.... but...... to.... eliminate.......... BRUNO, from America's Best Reality Show Judge sponsored by Matteroffaq.com and 7Up.

That means that Tyra Banks continues all the way through to the end of this competition untouched until the final round.

Tonight NBC premiered season two of Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey. For those not familiar

Tonight NBC premiered season two of Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey. For those not familiar with the premis, Chef Ramsey, one of the most respected chefs in the world, goes into a restaurant that is failing, indentifies the problems then shows the owners a series of changes to help turn their business around. I am a big fan of the original BBC version of this show, but the American version has never really captured my heart.

I guess the main reason is because Ramsey is too over the top with his profanity-laced tirades. I don't mind the profanity, mind you, I am a chef and during a rush I can drop f-bombs with the best of them. No, my problem is that the profanity seems forced - staged. Ramsey himself has said that the producers of the NBC Kitchen Nightmares have focused more on the screaming than the genuine story. To me, of all of the reality TV poluting our airwaves KM is one of the few that tells a story and after all, isn't that what television is about? Story telling.

I also look at it as a tutorial. Recently I took over the kitchen at Mars Hill Cafe which was doing bubkiss for business. Part of the problem was that the old menu had a lot of ingredients that were used in only one recipe. There were some dishes that took too long to prepare - Mars Hill is a lunch-only cafe so you really can't do recipes that take 20 minutes. So I restructured to menu to make it fast and to consolidate ingredients. For example: I added a Tuscan wrap that uses pesto mayo; I also changed the pasta salad so it uses the pesto mayo as well.

I also loaded my menu with bold flavors. The aforementioned Tuscan wrap not only has the herbacious pesto mayo but also bright and tart sundried tomatoes and salty feta cheese. I revamped the existing Santa Fe wrap which was made with sauteed onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes with grilled chicken and a mix of cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. The veggies are now seasoned with a custom blend of chipotle chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and garlic salt. The previously unseasoned chicken now gets kissed with garlic salt as well. We made the move from mild cheddar to sharp. I also added side sauces like a fresh salsa rojo, key lime-cilantro sour cream and a horseraddish sauce that is permiated with fresh cushed garlic. Gone is the nasty Thousand Island Dressing on the Rueben and in its place tangy yellow mustard.

The result? My first week there we had a day when we only had five tables come in. We've gone on a wait every day this week. Sales are up roughly 400% since I took over in mid July.

Clearly, I can't take all the credit, our GM Joe Langley has worked wonders getting the local media to notice us. One TV station did a story on our goal of giving all our profits to charity. The local newspaper also did a story on us. Another TV station has had me on doing cooking demonstrations. Joe made all of that happen.

Our other staff members have worked really hard, too. It helps to go to work everyday knowing that you are making a real difference.

From The Washington Post:

Prominent conservative columnist Peggy Noonan and former John McCain campaign manager Michael Murphy made disparaging comments Wednesday about the Republican's choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate, after a segment that aired on NBC with Chuck Todd. Thinking that the microphone had been turned off -- or, perhaps, that the video signal had stopped transmitting -- Noonan and Murphy ripped into Palin as someone who would weigh down the GOP ticket.

"It's over," said Noonan.

Original DVD cover.

Asked if Palin is the most qualified Republican woman to be McCain's running mate, Noonan replied: "The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bull$hit about narratives and [inaudible] the picture."

Later, she continued: "Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, and they blow it."

Added Murphy: "You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical."

The video is over at Crooks & Liars. Here's the transcript:

Murphy: You know, because I come out of the blue swing state governor work. Engler, Whitman, Tommy Thompson, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush. And these guys, this is all like how you win a Texas race. You know, just run it up. And it’s not gonna work.

    Noonan: It’s over.

Murphy: Still, McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good.

Todd: Don’t you think the Palin pick was insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson, too (inaudible)

Noonan: I saw Kay this morning.

Todd: She's never real comfortable about that. [That's what I think he said. You can listen and judge for yourself.]

Murphy: They’re all bummed out. I mean, is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Todd: Yeah, I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Noonan: The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bull$hit about narratives and (inaudible) the picture.

    Yeah, but what’s the narrative?

Noonan: Every time the Republicans do that because that’s not where they live and it’s not what they’re good at and they blow it.

Murphy: You know what’s really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.

And as you call it gimmicky.

You can read old Peggy's explanation of the event over at the Wall Street Journal. Wear hip boots and bring a shovel! Here's part of it:

In our off-air conversation, I got on the subject of the leaders of the Republican party assuming, now, that whatever the base of the Republican party thinks is what America thinks. I made the case that this is no longer true, that party leaders seem to me stuck in the assumptions of 1988 and 1994, the assumptions that reigned when they were young and coming up. "The first lesson they learned is the one they remember," I said to Todd -- and I'm pretty certain that is a direct quote. But, I argued, that's over, those assumptions are yesterday, the party can no longer assume that its base is utterly in line with the thinking of the American people. And when I said, "It's over!" -- and I said it more than once -- that is what I was referring to.

Pardon me for just a moment.

Here's a bit more:

I do like Mrs. Palin, because I like the things she espouses. And because, frankly, I met her once and liked her.

Yet another person who has only met Sister Sarah once! For someone the talking heads keeps describing as a nice person, there doesn't seem to be a very long line to meet her a second time!

Palin "Attacks" Obama, 37 million people heard this speech. Biden's response was that he did not get any info on how the GOP would right the wrongs of the past and the details of their platform. Well I think that if he went back to listen to his own speech from last Wednesday, he would find very little remedy for correcting anything with in their platform.

Tax cuts for the middle class and other family living from paycheck to paycheck will not offer any relief. most people who need a tax break do not even file a full 1040 long form. tax rebates and credits are only go for families who OWN their homes... most median income families rent or sub-lease their home, and if they owe money to any federal entity, they will not receive any benefits from any tax rebates or credits due to the repayment process that is in place at the federal level.

I did not receive any rebates from the recent rebate program because I have not worked enough in 2007 (cancer related illness).

I also notice that Sen Obama team has not really place any rebuttal to the statement Palin made regarding his books vs. law writing abilities. hum

they said this GOP ticket would reflect more of the same , referring to Bush/ Chaney, well I do believe I SEE a big difference, Chaney is a tubby almost hair less man, and Palin is VERY tall and under that full head of hair, is cranium filled will SMART cells.(roflmaf)

changing your stance on an issue should not be place as a flip flop, but a change in which a Gov. Palin views were changed based on the ever changing over due project was well "over abused".

If you bought an SUV like I did in 2000, and found that the continuing to drive
the 11 mpg Rover, was not in the best interest of my self or my immediate family, then changing my mind on how I view SUV's was not allowed, I'd be still in my rover...actually sleeping in it..... because, topping off my tank was about 82.00 per every 2.5 days left me with a choice; continue to BELIEVE in my little Rover at 11k for fuel that year (x2 if I had kept it). or FLIP FLOP on my view of my SUV and buy a car.

I actually agree with Pat Robertson & Glenn Beck (never thought I think that much less place it in words), If you ask the question "is she able be VP with 5 kids"... that is sexist, did they ask Sen Obama, he has 2 kids, did they ask Sen Biden, he has several children also.

When Sen Obama half-siblings were brought up... the media barely gave it a once over, be fore it was toss to page 6.

the point most of us are trying to get our head around is that the use of nomenclature she, he, fist woman, first African American, man vs woman... is getting old, and trite.

"person" seems to fit... the best person for the job, or position.

with a poll rating of 80+ percent in her state even after the uprise in her own party along with other milestones, the state of Alaska is still in agreement with their vote.

No voters remorse, so why the flack because the cable media market, has beat up on Sen. McCain soooo much that agreeing with his choice for VP, would cause a bunch of "persons wearing acess passes", to eat their words...one letter at a time,

So with nothing left to use to place Sen Obama back on top, they figure placing Gov. Palins Daughter front and center would make Sen. Obama family look perfect, well I beleive Gov. Palin's family and John McCain's family reflects the image of mainstream America than Sen, Obama's family. This based on the fact that both McCain's and Palin's families have sons in military and children with special needs, and most of all they have show the ability to sacrifice for both with in their family and for the people of their respective states.

---- and I think that CNN and cmbc along with msnbc has place their big foot in their mouth and they do not want to admit that after ignoring Sen McCain for most of this years coverage, that when they did not have Sen. Clinton to picked apart, and Sen Obama was their obvious choice among their anchors, they moved on to McCain... Well McCain's team played their ACE, and thank god someone {Gov. Palin) knows how to play REAL HARDBALL !

p.s.--- I did not list Rahel Maddow or the folks at race for the white house because it seems this program and the RFTW know when to stand down and let the rest of the waters flow where they may.

G.O.B. Devon estará no episódio inicial da temporada, intitulado "Do-Over".

"This show is the red-headed stepchild in the lineup. They've gone out of their way to wring the last drops out of My Name Is Earl and Scrubs. Those shows are done! They're cooked!"

Hoje chega a Portugal outra conquista de Jack Donaghy, a sua "namorada secreta" que trabalha na casa-branca e que pertence a uma perigosa organização composta por poderosos afro-americanos. Ela mesmo! :D

Ok, I’ve heard all of them before and it gets really old really fast. So I decided to educate

Ok, I've heard all of them before and it gets really old really fast. So I decided to educate whoever holds these views because it's obvious to me, they don't know ANYTHING about the things they try to talk about. In other words, they are so far out in left field that NOBODY is playing ball on that particular field.

1. Do you honestly think the members of our military enjoy war? Use your freakin' head, they have the MOST to lose in a war. Most of the military sacrafices many things for their job. They leave their families to go fight a war. Some wind up divorced after they return because their wives moved on because they were gone so long. Blaming the military for the war is a crock of crap.

2. Most of the liberal idiots walking around spouting the Liberal talking point "This is a illegal war." Congress did support the war. It's support was given mainly because bad intell but President Bush did have the Congress' support. Consequently, people have attempted to avoid going and were charged with "Failure to go, Desertion, and AWOL.

3. We blame the soldiers for fighting the illegal war. This is rich in Bullshit. I'm in Texas and I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE! When you enlist, you take an oath to follow the directions of congress and the president. Nowhere in that oath does it say you have a right to choose which battles you fight. Quite frankly, it's the judicial branch that decides if the war is a illegal one and not someone who lives in their parents basement smoking weed and is over the age of 30. If soldiers do walk away and not go where they are supposed to, who's going to give them jobs? The fact they went AWOL or Deserted the military, makes them unemployable. You? Hell most of you guys are unemployed. You and I will never see this topic the same because a. I moved out my parents house when I was 18. b. I'm 43 and not near as flexible as you because I can not bury my head that far up my backside as you can bury yours up your own backside. c. Unlike you, I was in the military for 20 years. d. Unlike you, I've been doing my own thinking for 25 years.

The Haditha Marines were guilty as hell and deserved to be punished. That IS NOT what the court martial trials discovered. What the hell? Did you not learn that defendents are presumed innocent until proven guilty? Since when did that disappear from the constitution? You do remember the constitution don't you? It's that piece of paper you idiots have been trying to take out all references to god out of and re-write it to include free health care.

The Haditha Marines trial was a sham? Really? The soldiers that were abusing prisoners by taking pictures of them naked were convicted by a court martial. So what your saying is that they are guilty because YOU said they were. Get a life and move out of your family's basement, quit smoking the wacky tobacco, and start living your life.

Innocent people are getting killed. Ok, I can agree with you on this one. Put yourself in a soldier's place for a second. Your driving your convoy somewhere and you start getting shot at. The first thing that happens is you get a rush of adrenelin and your heart starts pumping rapidly and you start having a panic attack. You will jump out of your vehical, take cover and start returning fire. I guarantee you, you will start shooting at anything that moves. This is known as fight or flight. At this point the soldier goes into self-preservation mode. If it moves, it gets shot at. This is the kind of people we are fighting in BOTH wars. They want to start a gun fight in a crowded area so that innocent people do get killed. That is their strategy in the nutshell. They are attempting to get the locals on their side by doing such tactics. Our soldiers have done the best job that anyone could possibly do in the absolutely worst atmosphere to do it in. They should be praised.

Bush lied! Absolutely not, if you think that then you are showing the world exactly how stupid you are. There are thousands of intel reports from different agencies. Even contractors sometimes find intel worth stuff and turn it in. So you have all of the agencies cranking out intell. You absolutely have very limited means of determining which intell reports are credible unless the souce has a good track record. That being said, Intelligence reports come down to he said she said. The ideas that Bush manufactures intelligence reports is bogus. They already were out there. When looking at intelligence and trying to make a decision, you look at EVERYTHING you have. To look back after the fact is to ASSUME or ASS/U/ME if you will. You can see 100% clear after the fact in EVERY situation. I know what the anti-war left will say, we know he lied because it's after the fact. My response is proposterous! I'm guessing the CIA prepared a long document with every bit of intell on it that pertained to Iraq for the last 3 to 4 years. Intelligence is usually as good as the word on the street and if Saddam put the word out he had nukes, of course that information will be in the intel report end-of-story.

Dennis Kasinich is going to impeach Bush! Sure and I suppose you believe in the tooth fairy too. Dennis is wasting his time because he is a loser and doesn't understand he's wasting his time. His arguments have NO substance and he can't prove any of it. It's all speculation and nothing concrete, so you continue to believe Dennis is going to impeach Bush all by himself. Your wasting your time and energy too believing in Dennis. Dennis is not the brightest bulb in the drawer. He did go to Iran and talk bad of the US. He's more than a few fries shy of a happy meal.

This liberal controlled congress has proved over and overal again it can't get things done. You people brag about speaker pelosie while she gives Bush everything he wants and more. Then you guys sit around upset because she did. Speaker Pelosie is no better or no worse than Dennis, she's also more than a few fries shy of a happy meal. Who else is your heros in Congress, Harry Reid? He is in way over his head and he's not too bright either. He's attempted to say that global warming caused the fires in California. Last time I checked most were started by lightning and it would not be as bad if the wildlife nuts hadn't mettled in the law that says you can't clear out brush. Yes this provides more fuel for the fire but I digress.

I'm sure most of you guys look at Obama as your hero. It's pathetic but whatever. Most of you are probably counting on Obama getting all of Hillary's votes and probably believe Obama will kick ass in this election. You are overlooking key elements that you should have thought of. 1. Operation Chaos. In case you missed it, this was a strategy based plan that a lot of pissed off Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney supporters engaged in over the outrage of having McCain selected for us by liberals and moderates. McCain did not need our votes to win the primary. The strategy was simple and pure genious. We created chaos in the Democratic party by keeping Hillary in the race till the end. She did what she was supposed to do, she bloodied and bruised Obama to no end. That being said, all of us will probably be voting Republican in November. All of the drive by media missed the intent. They assumed we were trying to get Hillary the nomination. That never was the goal, the point was that McCain refused to go after either one of the Democratic nominees. Who better to vett Obama than a Clinton? Well that and it was amusing to read liberals comments on drudge stating that the super delegates would not go against party lines. LMFAO. It was more fun than watching TV. I had a good laugh at they're expense while they attempted to deal with the chaos that ensued. 2. Another fine point is how many Hillary supporters who supported Hillary because she was a woman will jump party lines and support John McCain and his VP pick of a female? I would say a large percentage will vote for McCain based on his selection of a female VP. That's exactly why the drive by media is attempting to slander her because they know some females are jumping off the Obama train and headed to McCain. Obama has wrecked his chances of getting the white southern men vote by his comments about us clinging to our guns and religion and showing antipathy for those who don't look like us. I was VERY affended at that comment and it's a absolute Bullshit comment. Most of the liberals were swearing that statement was true. Fine, believe what you want but in November, I suggest you plan on a DEFEAT party because Obama will NOT win. 3. Obama has lost support over his affilliations with Reverend Wright, Black Theology, Bill Aires, and Tony Resko. Most of his early voting states are just dying to correct their vote now that Obama's dirty laundry has been put out to dry.

By the way, music required for DEFEAT parties is normally blues tunes. So make sure you go stock up on some BB King, eric clapton, Long John Hunter music!

By: John Keitel
Last nights acceptance speech at the RNC by Gov. Sarah Palin for the Vice President

By: John Keitel

Last nights acceptance speech at the RNC by Gov. Sarah Palin for the Vice President was built up by the MSM to be the most important speech of her life in order infuse fear into Palin's head. Also to try and put the bar too high for her to succeed in the minds of viewers.

The MSM failed at this attempt, her speech was great!

The MSM picked up the ball this morning trying from all channels to dig themselves out of the grave they are in for saying she couldn't do it. They are trying to make Palin out as MEAN this morning and using her joke about the difference between pit bulls and hockey moms is lipstick as the vehicle.

They are trading phrases among the MSM outlets like; she came out "Full guns blazing," "A fighting speech," "A really bitting speech," "mean," "shrill! (Harry Reid, Democrat Senate Majority leader," "Confident, tipping over into sarcatic and smug," "she performed well but certainly more scrutiny of her record is coming," (We, in 5 days, have watched reports telling us more about her than Barack Obama and Joe Biden put together) "Somebody else wrote the speech." "Wreckless, a very dangerous speech and frankly going and taking on the media has never worked," "Only uneducated white women will be drawn to her not the educated ones."

"She doesn't have the time to be Vice President with that many kids," "What is she doing dropping that child (Bristol) onto the national stage like this." No it's you the MSM that is attacking a minor because your candidate, Barack Obama, does not have an issue he can stand on.

The Obama camp lashed out put Joe Biden on the morning shows. But, all he would say in response to Palin's charges of inexperience on both sides of the Democrat ticket was first, "You'll hear when I say it, I am not going to give you a preview." Why did you go on the shows you idiot. Barack Obama and his advisor David Axlerod only have this as a response?

Secondly, Joe Biden then said, "I am not going to deminish her experience, it's real." Yes you are right and the American voters know it. You deny it and then admit it in the same paragraph you idiot.

George Stephanopoulos said about the Obama campaign, "I don't think they know how this played, their trying to work their way through it." This means they got their racist, sexist, and mean butts kicked. They got a knock out blow and are still laying on their backs, out cold!

The MSM continued with more calling the nomination of Palin as, "Emergence of Republican folk lore," and the real hillbilly reference, "Wouldn't Washington DC be a culture shock to the Palin's."

They don't get it, they are not seeing that the public is seeing Gov. Sarah Palin as one of us, the average Americans, and attacking her is attacking us. The Democrat party will pay dearly for their outlandish attacks on the families of America, Obama will be defeated and I wouldn't be surprised to see them loose the Senate in November.

The Democrat Barack Obama media is filling the dirt on top of themselves as they lay comfortably in their grave. 2008 is the year journalism in the media died.

Sarah Palin knocks it out of the park

I sat down last night to watch the RNC, eagerly awaiting Gov. Palin’s address. I was able to

I sat down last night to watch the RNC, eagerly awaiting Gov. Palin's address. I was able to hear Rudy Giuliani's rousing and spunky speech, and a feeling of grim satisfaction crept over me. I hope you all had the opportunity to hear it. He was taking no prisoners. Here are some of the highlights:

"This is not a time for on-the-job training."

Our opponents want to reframe the premises of the election and make it a false choice between change vs. more of the same: "Change is not a destination as hope is not a strategy."

My grim satisfaction turned into a feeling of vindication and anticipation. I cannot really express how good it felt to hear Republicans and conservatives defended, their accomplishments lauded, and their actions justified to the nation, when it's usually derision and unfairness from nearly every mainstream media source in existence. A breath of fresh air, to use the cliche. (As it was hilarious to hear the crowd chant, "NBC! NBC!" when this was hinted.)

But as for spunk and fresh air, nothing could have compared with Sarah Palin's speech. I have to admit, I was nervous as she took the stage, but the moment she began, all of my small doubts in her ability to lead were instantly erased.

Jon, you beat me to it in your comment in my last post. You're right in your asessment. Completely genuine. She didn't sound rehearsed. She sounded sure of herself, confident, and downright endearing. This woman is no pushover. She's not afraid (as her record shows) of saying what's on her mind and standing up for herself and her family. I like these qualities in a leader. Barack Obama isn't half the man Sarah Palin is. I heard more specifics in her one speech than I heard in a week of speeches at the DNC. I, too, would much rather have Palin in the Oval Office than BHO.

As I listened to her, my feelings of vindication grew into those of jubilation. She wasn't just appealing to me emotionally, (which is, after all, only secondary.) Here was a candidate who was appealing to my head as well as my heart. What she said just made sense. She revealed herself as she talked about her record in Alaska, one of fiscal responsiblity and reform. She didn't mess around there. She was elected Governor, and immediately sold the Governor's private jet on Ebay. She cut all the unnecessary spending and gave it back to the people of Alaska. She could have cut any number of extraneous expenses, but I think it speaks volumers that she cut the ones that had a direct connection to her first.

The myriad reasons why Sarah Palin was a masterful choice by John McCain keep manifesting with each passing moment. And I just have to say, Palin wasn't just chosen to "appease the conservative base." She is the total package. I hazard to guess that she is appealing to more than just conservatives. Even if they don't want to admit it, many are taking a serious look at Gov. Palin, and of course, she is making John McCain look really good.

Here are some excerpts from her speech. Talk about spunk!

"A small town mayor is kind of like a community organizer except a mayor has actual responsibilites." Ouch.

"I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going to Washington to serve this great country."

Of John McCain: "Some politicians use change to promote their careers. Others, like John McCain, use their careers to promote change."

Which calls to mind something else that struck me as I watched. At the DNC, no one had anything concrete to say about Obama. Nothing of any actual substance whatsoever. After all, there isn't any legislation or heroism to mention. He is a prime example of a "career politician". On the other hand, everyone had some sort of specific story to relate about McCain, esp. of his time in service to this country. I don't care what critics say, McCain has every reason to be where he is right now. Of McCain, I don't feel like he's here just to put his name in the history books. As McCain said, "I'd rather lose an election than a war." I don't feel that he set out to reach an ultimate goal of the presidency. And I can't help but feel that Obama has.

But back to Palin. I can think of no better example right now of a non-establishment candidate than Sarah Palin. And this is one of her greatest attributes, the one that speaks the most and the one which will attract more voters.

As an aside, I cannot express enough how excited I am. You all can laugh, but Sarah Palin is my hero. For all the reasons I have stated in my previous posts, and for the fact that she is so relatable to me, and that she is conservative. There have been times that I have felt out of place in this world for my convictions and my actions, but when I look at Palin I can see true possibility. She proves that as a woman, you can do it all. To see her up on that stage after her speech, with her normal family, and to see her hold and nuzzle her baby...well, words are not enough.
