Epic performing artists, The White Tie Affair are coming to town! I heard about these guys when I saw their video for "Candle (Sick and Tired)" air on MTV's TRL. I love their sound!  Hugh Heffner must have been impressed also, the boyz performed at the Playboy Mansion for their annual "Pajama Party".

Chigaco Mag has gone on to warn Fall Out Boy about the White Tie Affair!  Pete Wentz is too busy at moment with new wifey Ashlee Simpson and becoming a new daddy anyways.

They are performing August 3rd at the Culture Room with Kill Hannah.

"Ashlee and Pete are on cloud nine," an insider tells. "The doctor told them they actually conceived the baby just before Valentine's Day while they were on vacation and has given them an initial due date of Oct. 31. When Pete heard he might have his baby on Halloween, he went nuts. For an emo-rocker type like Pete, that would be just too perfect!"

The daddy-to-be is so excited about his daughter's arrival, he's even taken up a new hobby — sewing baby clothes!

Jonas Brothers went on MTV's FNMTV, a couple of days ago to perform their hit single "Burnin' Up," and to do a short interview with host, Pete Wentz, of Fall Out Boy.

The show was super amazing!

Today the Guys appeared on Pete Wentz' new show, FNMTV!

The show itself is quite intriguing and perplexing to me so far. I didn't quite get it, but I'm rooting for it.

I think it has a lot of potential, and I wish him good luck with his good intentions...but if Pete wants me to watch it on the regular, though, he better start streaming it on the web.  I just hope the flow smooths out (and they keep the mics fully functional in future, poor Joe...not that it was a noticeable gaffe to any but the superfan).  But I am most inclined to follow FNMTV, in fact, because I feel like Wentz was giving the Boys a pretty nice break by making them the focal point of the hour so early in the series.

I'll be honest, I found it a tiny bit awkward at first, considering some of the disrespect the Brothers have gotten from the network in general, but then, isn't life complicated in that world?  Their first ever live performance of "Burnin' Up" was strong and the musical diversity of the show in general was neat - though I have some opinions on other acts best left unsaid by me (ooh, but what do my blog-idols think?!).

I both hope and fear that the event (and the accompanying announcement that they will be appearing for the first time on the MTV Video Music Awards) marks a shift in their status with the MTV demo and thus, the whole of the masses.  Exciting proof as to why?  After the jump!

Lately, I have been feeling a shift, where non-fans are occasionally stepping up to defend the Boys' legitimacy, whether they like them or not, as well as casual observers venturing to compliment their new tunes or tone down their old reactionary hatred.  I am not even sure where it is coming from!  But it's great.  There are guys - if infrequent - singing their praises!  On MTV! Where we can see their pictures!! Holy sh*t!

For example, in the comments over on the MTV website, I just read the following comment from Slipknot fan "pinhead3d":

you are right, JBs and Slipknot are both very talented bands, they both make music in their own way. pop vs metal.... there is no winner nor a loser b/c its comparing two different things to one another. but in my opinion, I think the JBs will be having a great run for the top when slipknots new album comes out.

To which the other commenter responds:

Thank you pinhead3d. All us Jonas fans wanted was for you guys not to diss us or the band. I did say in the beginning that I liked slipknot, too...I just happen to like JB better. So, thanks for respecting both of the bands by not saying anything rude.

Wentz, you revolutionary, you. (Now I may have to actually check out Fall Out Boy.)

Silverman presented I'm F***ing Matt Damon to Kimmel as a gift in honor of Jimmy Kimmel Live's 5th anniversary (it was originally meant to be aired in November 2007 during Kimmel's birthday show, which never happened due to the WGA strike), and uploads of the video quickly appeared on YouTube in a Lazy Sunday-esque wave.

The choice of partners is deliberate, as Jimmy Kimmel has a long-standing joke feud with Matt Damon (culminating in a rage-filled appearance in September 2006), but who knew that Matt Damon could not only rap, but bust out some 90s-dance-crew moves?

And who knew that Kimmel would raise the bar so dramatically with a follow-up featuring Damon BFF Ben Affleck? I'm F***ing Ben Affleck may start off like a cheap rip-off, but soon afterwards ups the ante, both in an artistic and cast sense: the quasi-official YouTube upload lists Robin Williams, Don Cheadle, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, Rebecca Romijn, Benji Madden, Joel Madden, Dicky Barrett, Christopher Mintz-Plasse a.k.a. Mclovin, Lance Bass, Dominic Monaghan, Meatloaf, Pete Wentz, Joan Jett, Huey Lewis, Perry Farrell, Macy Gray and Josh Groban. Sure, there are no butterflies. But there is a "We Are The World"-esque chorus and Harrison Ford in a convertible. Advantage: Kimmel.

Of course, Silverman and Kimmel didn't work together on these shorts -- both were directed by Wayne McClammy, a Jimmy Kimmel Live segment director who's parlayed his success into exciting directing gigs. But the established nature of their relationship in the public eye is what gives these pieces the additional kick. What makes "I'm F***ing Matt Damon/Ben Affleck" so much fun is that the humor of the pieces reflect that stage in a romance when all the insecurity is gone, when both partners are so comfortable with each other that they can make these sorts of tasteless jokes. Now that they've broken up, it's just a little sad, to think of the people they are now, um, f***ing.

But maybe there's a chance they got together for one last breakup music video. Everyone knows those are always the best.

Apparently pregnant celeb Ashlee Simpson is craving Olives!

According to new husband Pete Wentz his wife is craving the finer things as her pregnancy progresses which includes those yummy green olives on just about everything she eats. He told reporter Ryan Seacrest recently that it is an “anytime kind-of-thing. You always have to be ready.”

He also filled Ryan in on all the joys of standing by his wife during her pregnancy including the doctors appointments where he “freaks out”. He admits that they still do not know the sex of the baby, but that they hope to find out within a couple of weeks when the doctors go in for another look. I myself think it's wise to know the sex of the baby as when you need to mentally prepare youself for parenthood you need every scrap of info you can!

Until the baby arrives sometime later this year the couple is content to sit back and enjoy married life together.
My advice is make the most of the uninterupted nights sleep :P

Now, I'm going back on one of promises here but please, please forgive me I promise I wouldn't stray again but I couldn't help it, I clicked on an article about Ashlee Simpson's pregnancy cravings out of sheer curiousity, why? I don't know..I was interested..LOL

But lo and behold what confronted me in this article wasn't an in depth article about celebrity cravings instead one of my biggest fears was confirmed..the world is slowly starting to resemble the world in Idiocracy thanks to people like Pete Wentz and President George Bush!

You see, Pete Wentz, the bassist for the band Fall Out Boy (Backstreet Boys with guitars) and future father ( you know, I don't know which is scarier the fact that he plays base for a crappy boy band or the fact that he's a future father...lol) made this brilliant observation, "I heard women become mothers when they become pregnant, and boys become fathers when the baby is born.." OMG!!! He came up with that all by himself! 

But it gets better dear reader he then goes on to tell us his views about parenthood which he compares to making a record.."but knowing you're going to mix it for the next 18 years of your life."

Now, if you've ever heard a fallout boy album, you know that's a really, really ominous comparison!

Ashlee Simpson, of course, is the younger, emoer sister of Jessica Simpson who's claim to fame is proving she's a good role model by getting a nose job (well... to be fair, she really needed a nose job) and sleeping with Wilmer Valderama (Yes, Fez from That 70's Show had his thingy in her thingy). And one of her first Simpson-moments was at her sister's wedding when she blurted out "me and Jessica used to take baths together and now she and Nick are gonna take baths together." Stay classy Simpson family, stay classy.

Pete Wentz is famous for... well... he's in Fall Out Boy, so I guess he is only famous to 14 & 15 year old girls. Oh, and as a sign of his gratitude, he repayed those 14 & 15 year olds girls by posting cell phone pics of him playing with his Fall Out Boy on the interwebs.

Do you realize the kids this couple is gonna produce? Freakishly emo kids. Their first son is gonna be born with guy-liner on and their first daughter is gonna be born with scars on her wrist. And then George Bush is gonna have to raise the national security warning level from "green" to "Pink is the new black is the new red." But at least the whole family can cry together aft the births. And cry on the way home. Probably cry at Taco Bell later that night. In fact Ashlee and Pete will probably cry while they are making their babies.

Seriously? Were the Wentz-Simpsons sitting at home and said "Ya know what our wedding needs? A bulldog!"

But its good that the bulldog was there. It was probably the prettiest girl (next to Pete Wentz) there.

Come to think of it. Who was the last Simpson to marry someone from a band? That ended well right?

Casado com a cantora Ashlee Simpson e aguardando a chegada de seu primeiro filho em outubro, Pete Wentz, 29 anos, parece seguro e sem motivos para esconder seu passado. Em longa entrevista ao site Out.com, o baixista do Fall Out Boy admitiu já ter beijado garotos e
criticou a homofobia.

Os rumores sobre a sexualidade de Wentz são alimentados pelo próprio, que brinca com essa ambiguidade inclusive durante os shows e já afirmou em entrevistas que era “meio gay”. Ele contou que a primeira vez que beijou um garoto foi por volta dos 16, 17 anos, numa aposta, em uma festa. E depois, aos 18, 19, decidiu experimentar novamente. que tinha uns 22 anos”, disse. Wentz confidenciou ainda que tem uma quedinha pelo cantor John Mayer.

Durante a entrevista Wentz criticou a homofobia como uma coisa atrasada e desumana. “Homofobia é o último ódio aceitável. As pessoas hoje tratam a sexualidade como se tratava os negros na época de Jim Crow [leis que restringiam a liberdade de negros e asiáticos e vigoraram até a década de 60]. É desumano!”.
Ele ainda acrescentou: “A aceitação do casamento gay é inevitável”.
