The simple head dresses make you focus more on the funky over-sized accessories. Although made of silver and gold the necklaces and shoes have a bit of an ethnic feeling to them.

That was my reaction when I first stepped into this beautiful modern condo in upper east side. I had a meeting with the architect/interior designer to do the styling job for the place. We wanted to create a "spa" atmosphere, and as a green artist, I would love to add natural and earthy feelings...it's zen...

I think I've been a bit too fond of leggings. I recently bought these lace leggings from Topshop, together with a pair of black lamé ones.

I've worn leggings 4 days in a row. They're so comfortable I don't wanna wear any other kind of bottoms! Maybe you've been wearing leggings everyday, and I've caught on to this love for hosiery a little too late, but oooh, the hot hot weather calls for some light material.

Yeap I wore my skinny belt as a necklace today. It actually isn't the first time I'm doing this. I hope you don't think I'm weird! My little sister commented it looks like a collar but I still like the neat rounds it makes around my neck.

Wonder if a thicker belt will work.

She is so cute and nice. Lucky, too. She gets to go to all the cities!

I think most people have this "broke" feeling once in a while. And yes it has got to haunting me!

So I have decided to make do with whatever I have (at least after I've got the shoes and leggings I'm watching on ebay teehees) until more money finds me. (Oh and maybe the Bona Drag boydsuit tooo!! Sigh)

When life gives you the chance to come across coolio bags at 50%, make them yours!

I was at The Lawn in Wheelock for the second time within 24 hours with my boyfriend last week. He was trying on these fabulous pair of jeans from Iron Army Clothing (now defunct, but on a 50% discount at The Lawn) and I was oogling at these Freitag looking bags. (He ended up getting not one but TWO pairs of Iron Army jeans - I have to show you pictures too!)

Demano is Madrid's answer to Freitag. They use discarded advertising material like PVC and polyester banners and fashion them into bags and accesories. Making do with unwanted material. I likeee.

There's another shape they have in the shop which is basically a mini tote or clutch. I was <this> close to getting it too, but I think I could sense the broke-ness creeping up on me, so I only bought one.

It's kinda colourful but not garishly so.

Okay who am I kidding. It's not colourful but it has someee hints of colour and interesting cropped images. The shape is more feminine than that of Freitag's designs. Yes, Freitag has the whole industrial feel going on, and I like that too.

The label's hang tag comes with a brief explanation about Demano and what they do, and also the origins of the banner - like what it used to advertise and who the artist or designer was.

This is one bag I can rough about and not go all whiny over - I love the white "cracks" that surface with use.

The inside has no lining - it's simply a continuation of the print on the outside. That means it's reversible! Woot.

The sales person who attended to us that day was actually one of the co-owners of The Lawn. I was surprised he didn't say much or didn't try to sway us into buying anything so I broke a "You're a very nice sales person, you don't push us and sell your things."

Then he replied something along the lines of "It's all in the products. If we bring in good products they will sell themselves."

Whoar. Respect.

The Lawn also stocks Betsey Johnson, Deborah Sweeny, Milk & Honey, and some other labels that didn't make it to my memory, heh. I think cos the rest were guy's stuff?

Okay back to making do with whatever I have in my closet!

Die Frisurenmode für Männer im Winter 2008/2009 ist sehr vielseitig und unterstreicht den individuellen Typ von heute. Egal ob businesslike, klassisch, fast ohne Haare, raspelkurz oder wild verwegen, zu jedem Typ gibt es supertolle, aktuelle Haarschnitte, die mit wenigen Hilfsmitteln zur individuellen, stylischen Frisur werden.

Die aktuelle Frisurenmode dieser Saison setzt Trends für Männer und ist vielseitig wie niemals zuvor.

So gibt es den Long Hair Style, hier wird die Nackenpartie meistens relativ kurz gehalten, auch anrasierte, seitliche Konturen sind möglich, das Haar am Oberkopf bleibt länger und durch fransige Looks und asymmetrische Ponypartien wirkt das ganze sehr stylisch und eine bisschen verwegen, aber trotzdem gepflegt.

Insbesondere die sehr jungen Leute sind hier schon seit langem Trendsetter, denn die etwas längere, leicht wilde Mähne erfordert ein bisschen Arbeit beim stylen, oft mit Hilfsmitteln wie Wachs oder Gel. An die Elvis –Zeit erinnert der Rockabilly Style, mit der typischen Elvis-Tolle und auf jeden Fall mit viel Pomade haltbar gemacht.

Die so genannten klassischen Looks bezeichnen hier eher die klassischen Kurzhaarschnitte, sie werden vorzugsweise vom typischen „Geschäftsmann“, der in Anzug und Krawatte gekleidet ist, getragen. Auch diese Frisuren lassen sich aber durch etwas fransigere Elemente sowie durch Stylingprodukte zur trendigen Kurzhaarfrisur verändern, ja nach Anlass und Laune des jeweiligen Herrn.

Zu guter letzt gibt es nach wie vor den Trend der superkurzen Schnitte bis hin zu „fast ohne Haare“ bzw. ganz ohne Haare. Auch hier sind viele Variationen möglich, bei den superkurzen Maschinenschnitten lassen sich hervorragend grafische Muster bis hin zu Tribals einrasieren, bei besonders modemutigen kann man diese durch verschiedene Farben, die auch mal schrill sein dürfen, noch betonen. Männer, die unter Haarausfall und Glatzenbildung leiden, sollten den Mut zum rasierten Kopf haben. Die Damen finden es sowieso meistens attraktiv, vielleicht da es sehr männlich wirkt. Jedenfalls gehören die Herren mit Seitenscheitel über dem Ohr, das Deckhaar sehr licht, aber lang und mit Haarspray festgeklebt, damit niemand merkt, das sich eine Glatze bildet, mittlerweile zu einer aussterbenden Minderheit.

So lange der Haarschnitt auf den Typ abgestimmt ist und die Haare gepflegt wirken, liegt „Mann“ auf jeden Fall richtig. Individualität ist ein wichtiges Kriterium für die heutigen Männer. Auch Männer verwenden heutzutage selbstverständlich Stylinghilfsmittel wie Gel oder Wachs, auch Pomade und Haarspray sind nicht selten. Die Haarkosmetikindustrie hat das schon lange erkannt und viele Produkte speziell für den Mann auf den Markt gebracht. Eine weitere Möglichkeit zur individuellen Gestaltung sind farbliche Veränderungen wie Strähnchen oder Tönungen bis hin zur kompletten Farbe. Gerne werden von den modebewussten Männern von heute Farbveränderungen genutzt, um Ihre Individualität zu unterstreichen. Mittels kreativer Strähnentechniken, (z. Bsp. จริงๆแล้วหนังสือสองเล่มนี้ ควรจะเป็นหนังสือเล่มแรกๆ ที่ผมควรจะแนะนำ และบทความนี้ควรจะเป็นบทความแรกๆ ด้วยซ้ำไปที่จะต้องถูกเอามาเขียนในบลอกนี้ แต่อาจจะด้วยความที่ไม่ได้มีหนังสือติดตัวก็ได้ครับเลยหลงลืมไป (ราคาแพงครับ 8ร้อยกว่าบาท ไม่มีเงินซื้อเก็บ ทุกวันนี้หาอ่านจากห้องสมุดคณะ)

เล่มแรกคือ Auto&Design เป็นหนังสือจากอิตาลี และเล่มที่สองคือ Car Styling มีต้นกำเนิดจากญี่ปุ่น ออกทุกสองเดือน ในเล่มจะมีข่าวเกี่ยวกับรถใหม่ รวมถึง design images เหมือนที่ผมเคยเอาของ 7-series ให้ดู แต่ละเอียดกว่านั้นมาก เป็นหนังสือที่ 'คุ้มค่าน่าซื้อเก็บครับ' เพราะภาพในนั้นหาจากที่อื่นไม่ได้ เป็นเอกสิทธิ์ของหนังสือสองเล่มนี้เท่านั้น นอกเหนือไปจากภาพการทำงานการออกแบบที่ละเอียดมากๆแล้ว ยังมีเนื้อหา เรื่องราวเบื้องหลังว่ารถคันนี้ออกแบบมาด้วยเหตุผลอะไร มีความคิดเบื้องหลังยังไง รวมถึงใครเป็นผู้ออกแบบ ทีมออกแบบมีใครบ้าง (ไล่ชื่อ) แต่ละคนทำหน้าที่อะไรในแผนกไหน (จำเรื่องฝ่ายต่างๆที่ผมเคยเล่าให้ฟังได้ไหมครับ) หนังสือเป็นสองภาษาครับ สามารถอ่านเนื้อหาภาษาอังกฤษได้แน่นอน ของ Auto&Design จะเป็นภาษาอิตาลี + อังกฤษ ส่วนของ CarStyling แน่นอนครับ ญี่ปุ่น+อังกฤษ

หาซื้อได้ตามร้านที่ขายหนังสือรถภาษาอังกฤษครับ ส่วนใหญ่จะอยู่ด้วยกัน หรือถ้าหาไม่ได้ สนามบินก็เป็นอีกที่ที่มีขายครับ ราคาตามที่บอก
