Y por fin hoy traigo para ustedes el Shounen Club del pasado 3 de agosto, se que me he demorado pero toda la culpa la a tenido Mina ya que la niña se a dedicado a su universidad y me ha dejado sola como un champiñon. A demás de eso el trauma de esta semana estuvo grandisimo por eso he tenido que tomarme unos dias para recuperarme del todo.

Hablando de lo importante el Shounen  esta muy chistoso espero que lo disfrutes.

Ha lo sguardo cattivo della cugina RS5 ed ancora non ci sono notizie certe sulla motorizzazione, per la quale sono sempre più insistenti voci di un turbo a doppio stadio ed una potenza addirittura vicina ai 350Cv: la TTRS si mostra senza veli, ben più irriverente della TTS ed ormai pronta al debutto, fotografata durante gli ultimi test in America. I due scarichi posteriori maggiorati e le grandi prese d’aria fanno ben sperare, non resta che attendere i numeri e, sopratutto, la prova su strada.

Wait, Ching is Hawaiin right? Or am I making that up. Eh whatever.

Now that it's all over, what are we supposed to do? I feel empty inside.  Where do I turn? What can I entertain myself with next?  My barren soccer womb aches with sadness.

Well the good news is, that in 4 days time, the USMNT takes on Cuba in their next WCQ.  The unfortunate thing about this upcoming game however, is that we're likely to see another uninspiring lineup from Bob Bradley which could very well feature Frankie Hejduk at starting Right Back (whyyyyyy god whhhyyy).

As we look forward to that Cuba, I would expect we will see a very similar lineup to last game, with Edu stepping in for Mastroeni, and Hejduk coming in for Cherundolo.  Hopefully, Wynne will replace Hejduk at some point and he will showcase his speed that we saw flashes of during the Olympics.  I also hope that Beasley will play a larger part this time around, but that will depend on his fitness, as he missed the last Rangers match (on the optimistic side, that should make him very fresh for Saturday!). Let's break down our setup.

THE FORWARD CRISIS

Even though the lineup lacks the Cooper connection, something that I wouldn't mind seeing is Landon Donovan up top, playing as a striker.  Dempsey has been poor lately, both for club and country, and I think it's time to mix things up with him.  I say we should deploy Dempsey on the right wing and let him run forward with the ball, and let Landon play forward.  Donovan has been strong for the Galaxy at the position, and with our weak striker pool right now, I'd rather see Donovan using his pace and vision as opposed to the same old EJ.  I think we can count on Brian Ching getting the start again, as he is the only true target man on the roster, and we all know Bob Bradley is attached to the notion of forward play.

Obviously, I'm 90% convinced Bradley will go with Dempsey and Ching up top again; it's merely my opinion that Landon would fare better as a forward given our current squad.  Plus, I don't think we'd lose anything from putting someone else at right wing.  It's no secret that Donovan doesn't bring much to the position (which isn't his fault).

MIDFIELD MAESTROS

I also hope that we get to see good minutes given to a Bradley/Edu combo in the central midfield.  This tandem could very well be a USMNT mainstay for a good while to come, so it's important that these two work together.  A potential problem with this however, is that both of them are very similar midfielders.  As much as we would love Mikey to be a playmaker and offensive dynamo, he just isnt that tricky or creative, and is much more the tireless worker.  In addition, Mo Edu isn't a defensive midfielder by his own admission.  Granted, he can play the position and play it well (his versatility is certainly a strength), but the boy loves to get forward and score goals too.  In essence, they both are box-to-box midfielders, and I'm not sure that's the best chemical reaction we want in our midfield generals.  To make matters worse, Ricardo Clark is a pretty traditional box-to-box midfielder too and I'm not too eager on seeing him feature for us ( I can't see him having a strong place in the USMNT of the future).  We are midfield heavy, and while Clark is strong, he will never be more than a sub and role player for the team.

NOTE:  I don't think Michael Bradley's transfer to 'gladbach will affect his inclusion in these qualifiers, but I suppose it is possible.

DEFENSIVE FORTRESS

Gooch and Boca are back to start in central defense, with Heath Pearce and Frankie Hejduk most likely lining up on the left and right.  It goes without saying that our defensive line should be capable of containing the Cuba attack, but one thing both our outside defenders lack is pace.  So if we're going to be in danger during this game, I think it's going to come from the flanks.  If Wynne can get in the match, his speed will help a great deal, but in all, I don't think its unreasonable to expect a shutout from our backline.

My Thoughts: At the end of the day, as much as we want to see certain lineups and tweaks, the only thing that truly matters is that we win.  Or at least that's what all the pundits and professional analysts will say.  And while they're right to some degree, where does it end?  The longer we wait to give big minutes to our upcoming stars, the fewer games they'll have to adjust and mesh before the big show in 2010.  If we wait until late 2009 to really include the likes of Freddy Adu, Jozy Altidore and Kenny Cooper (optimistic, I know) I think it's going to be too late for them to really take control of the team.  It's never going to be that one day, during one game, Freddy/Jozy and company will all the sudden be ready to start and beat Brazil.  They're gonna need to fail and learn to play together first and just playing big minutes with u-20 and u-23 teams doesn't count.  So, fine, I'm not MAD that they didn't get called up for these qualifiers, but I am wondering WHEN will their time come? WHEN will Bob Bradley, Nowak, and Sunil decide to really make our youngsters the heart of the Senior Team? Because in my opinion, it has to happen for our program to jump to the next level.  Just my two cents. Blah.

Audi's mid-engine R4 was pronounced stillborn this past year, but with Volkswagen bringing its own midship concept to the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi might revive plans its own version to market in the next five years. The new R3 would effectively replace the TT, providing a better business case for VAG to produce a mid-engine platform and silencing critics that have constantly complained that the TT is merely a tarted up Golf.

My Thoughts: Tears fill my eyes as I post this.  Once again, Bob Bradley has left out Kenny Cooper.  And certainly I'm not the only American that is extremely disappointed by this omission, so WHAT IS GOING ON?

The absences of Jozy and Freddy aren't that surprising as they're still settling in at their respective new clubs.  But apparently Eddie Johnson doesn't need to settle in, because Bradley has once again called up the underperforming Grown Ass Man. Oh and Edu doesn't need to settle in either, according to Coach Bob.  Thanks for being consistent.  Ugh.

Ricardo Clark also pops into the squad but he faces stiff competition with Michael Bradley and Maurice Edu in the middle (but I suppose I wouldn't be that surprised if Bob starts Clark over Edu at this point).

I'm glad to see Wynne in the squad, he showed some terrific flashes at the Olympics (in addition to showing some weak parts of his game), and he should see some good minutes in Cherundolos absence.  Michael Orozco also gets the nod, which is strange I think, because I don't think he has a future as an outside defender, and Bob also called in Dan Califf.  So I guess we really needed 4 center backs.

And don't even get me started on our forwards. Brian Ching makes me want to puke in my mouth. No Offense Bri.

13 Ways My Kids Make Us Late

I hate to be late. I hate to feel like someone else is waiting on me. I hate to sit around waiting for someone else. My kids drive me nuts in the mornings before school. I'd had a nice relaxing stretch of sleeping in well past 6:00 am and I'm sure DH appreciated the silence that reigned for the nine weeks of summer. Anyway, here's 13 ways in which my kids drag their heels and when they all pile up in a single morning, it's a disaster on all fronts.

The elementary school starts at 8:15, but they don't open the gates until 7:55. This means 700+ kids have 20 minutes to get into the school. The middle school starts at 8:30, but the first bell rings at 8:20. Did I also mention that they're also about 4 miles apart with about 8 stoplights between them? DD has a lot farther to walk from her drop off point and DS complains if he has to walk from the street up the hill from the school.

13. I'm tired and/or cold!

I hate this one. It makes me sound exactly like my mother. At least I haven't turned their mattress up on end so it's perpendicular to their beds with them in it. Get up, get dressed, get moving.

12. Lost Clothing

Socks, shoes, clothing, glasses -- either the favorite, must-have-nothing-else-will-do item is gone forever or everything is dirty -- did I not ask them to bring them down Saturday morning, afternoon, evening and again on Sunday?

11. I'm sick. No, really!

Popular symptoms at our house: headaches, dizziness, sore muscles and nausea. Then they try to take their temperature as many times as possible even if they've already eaten, just to make sure it hasn't miraculously crept up over the magic 100.4 degrees that will keep them home.

10. Sudden Breakfast/Lunch Indecision

Why, when they've eaten the same thing day in and day out for months, as soon as they're running the slightest bit late, do they decide they don't want the usual? This heading also covers the "But I want _______" when that's the one thing I didn't buy on the last trip to the grocery store because someone left the box on the shelf and I didn't realize it was empty.

9. Screens and Other Shiny Objects

Televisions, nintendo games, youtube videos... so much more interesting than whatever mom's going on about.

7. Breakfast/Lunch Refusal

This is tied closely to the one about indecision. After you make what they asked for, or at least didn't object to when you asked, they pitch a fit about it and refuse to eat it. In the case of lunch, the answer is "Ok, it's either this or a yogurt plate. It's too late to make a second lunch now. Perhaps you'd like to make your own from now on?"

6. Lost School Supplies

Backpacks, books, homework, important papers that must be returned today, and did you write that check, Mom? Why do we ask if everything's together the night before and then believe them when they say "Yeah."

5. Shrinking Backpacks

Not everything under the sun will fit in it, trust me. It really won't kill you to carry your lunch in one hand, really.

4. What do you mean you're out of insulin?!

This is DD's specialty. It always seems on the mornings I oversleep or get distracted by shiny objects myself, that her insulin pump needs changed. This usually is realized when she goes to bolus for breakfast.

3. Where's my _________? I need it today.

This goes along with Lost Items, but it's more specialized because it can occur after they've found the item in question. Standard answers are: I don't know, it wasn't my turn to watch it. The last place you had it? The master bedroom is not your personal locker. The bathroom is really not an appropriate storage location either.

2. Never-Ending Sibling Argument, Round #1298708912345

It really doesn't matter who's stupider, Fred or Josh, they both are annoying. If you spent more time worrying about what you're supposed to be doing, instead of stopping to argue about stuff that doesn't matter in the grand scope of life, you would be ready on time and you wouldn't have woken your father up.

1. Wait, I forgot something!

Once you finally get in the car... or even get the garage door closed once you've back out of it... one of them invariably remembers something they needed but forgot to grab on the way out. Shoes, lunch, books, papers, you name it, they've spaced it.

1. Computer - My best friend and lifeline. O.K. Maybe not, but I sure do like it.
2. Crafty - I'm not always very original...I like to copy other people's ideas...but I've always done some kind of craft. Cross-stitching lasted a long time but I haven't done that in years. Now, my craft of choice is scrapbooking.
3. Cautious - It takes me a while to feel comfortable in most situations. I'm a little wary before I dive into anything, always weighing all my options first.

5. Cooking - I don't like to. Never have. But the family's gotta eat, right?
6. Car Crash - I've been in two car crashes in my life; one as a passenger, one as a driver. In both instances, I was in the guilty car. The one where I was driving, I swear, the sun could NOT have been more blinding that morning. I just bumped right into the car in front of me while we were sitting at a stop light.
7. Cruises - Dave and I have been on 3 cruises. Seriously, we love them. It's a great way to see a lot of different places in one trip. We've always talk about the places we would like to go back to and spend a little more time.
8. Coffee - Yes, please. If you're going to Starbucks, please get me a Tall Skinny Hazelnut Latte. If I'm home, I just make normal coffee (sometimes I'll splurge and get flavored from Boca Java) and add some sugar free Hazelnut creamer. Yummo!
9. Crying - At the drop of a hat, I must admit. And with all the stress from the move, this house seen it's fair share of tears lately.
10. Camera - I wish I had a better one so that I could take better pictures. But dude, cameras are EXPENSIVE! So instead, I just drool over other people's cameras.
11. Corn Chex - My favorite cereal.
12. Clothing - I hate shopping. I especially hate shopping for clothes. There are pieces in my closet that I have owned since I was in High School, which makes them at least 15 years old.
13. Closing - As I was typing this, I found out we won't be closing on the house tomorrow. Seriously not good. Seriously, SERIOUSLY. Not good.

13 Reasons DH Needs A New Car

1. The fabric on the ceiling is coming loose and attacking anyone in the back seat.

2. The rear passenger side door won't open. This means he can't easily drop the kids off at school.

3. It's older than DD. (Ok. It's always been older than her, but she just started middle school. C'mon!)

4. Owning his own company now, he needs a better status symbol than a '97 Saturn sedan, yes?

5. The insurance will be cheaper on a new car now that he's over 35 and married.

6. DS wants him to get a Lamborghini or at least some kind of fancy sports car.

7. It's paid off!

8. My van's also paid off! It's his turn, he's actually past due.

9. The A/C's dead... ok not such a big deal that we're no longer in Texas, but still.

10. It doesn't have a CD/MP3 player just a cassette player.

11. The second engine we put in it is still running, but doesn't have the pick up and it always sounds like it's in performance mode even if it's not.

12. My keyfob doesn't unlock it and I'm tired of setting off the car alarm trying to get into it if I have to drive it anywhere.

13. The electrical system is going. The other morning he couldn't buy coffee because the power windows wouldn't go down and he didn't have time to walk into Starbucks instead of driving through the little Cappucino Cottage on the way to work.

Hot stuff: Striker Le Cong Vinh is Ha Noi T&T’s most-wanted footballer and will play in the V-League next season. — VNA/VNS Photo Quoc Khanh

HA NOI — National striker and V-League’s Song Lam Nghe An member Le Cong Vinh is expected to play for Ha Noi T&T beginning next season, a source from the Ha Noi-based club said on Monday.

Ha Noi T&T, who were officially promoted to the top-flight football championship V-League after their 25th game at the National First Division last Saturday, offered a VND6 billion (US$360,575) transfer fee for a four-year contract with the top striker.

If the contract is signed, Vinh will receive a monthly salary of approximately VND40 million ($2,400).

Last year, Vinakansai Ninh Binh also signed a VND3 billion ($189,000) transfer deal with former national team member Nguyen Huu Thang from Becamex Binh Duong.

Vinh, 23, who received the Golden Ball award for best Vietnamese footballer of the year for the third time in a row last July, helped the national team reach the third stage of the Beijing Olympics qualifiers, as well as the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup, co-hosted by Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia last year.

The coach of new V-League team T&T Ha Noi, Trieu Quang Ha, said on Monday that Vinh would be the team’s top priority in the hunt for the V-League title next year.

"Vinh is one of the best strikers in Viet Nam that all V-League teams want to recruit. We’ve only put down the offer as of now, and no negotiations have been set yet," said the coach Trieu Quang Ha.

Ha, who won the V-League championship as left winger for The Cong, or Army team, in 1998, said the team had eyed another Song Lam Nghe An player and national defender, Nguyen Minh Duc, who refused to extend his contract with Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) to next year.

Chairman of the Ha Noi team Do Quang Hien also stressed that the team would reserve VND20 billion ($1.2million) in order to contract the best players next season.

At the First Division championship, the team had paid a large sum to bring the best players onto their turf.

They spent nearly $200,000 signing Cassiano Rocha, Cristianto Roland, former national and SLNA goalie Duong Hong Son and defender Nguyen Dai Dong.

The team had in their hands last year Junior Football title winner Nguyen Thanh Long Giang from Tien Giang, Cao Sy Cuong from Ha Noi ACB and Nguyen Dinh Quy from The Cong.

The team’s managing board also prompted the team with a cash prize of over VND300 million ($18,000) for each win. And the team could get a bumper prize of VND1billion ($60,000) if they won the First Division title this year.

This Saturday’s clash between Ha Noi and Military Zone 4 at Ha Noi’s My Dinh will decide who takes the trophy. —
