OP Sequence - Rondo by ON/OFF

It's still to early for Christmas for this song to play... Kidding aside, I actually like it better than  the first one song-wise only. I quite miss the action-packed OP of season I though and I'll miss some specific scenes where uber-gothic cool Rima throwing her umbrella; Shiki unleahsing his blood-whip and many other scenes... This time it got replaced by Yuuki wandering into the forest (and spinning on birds' eye view... WHAT THE HELL.), and basically character intros with a story book. An look at Rima together with that cute Rabbit thing! I kinda like the last past, where the camera is being lost on Yuuki at the moonlight, with her long hair and her Artemis scythe.

More Vampire Knight means... More Rima-sma and Shiki-sama! Wooot! Actually, they are the only reasons why I'm still clinging on to this show ;A;... Btw, I'll stick on Raw when watching Vampire Knight because I can understand it anyway and the gothic font on the fansubs distracts me everytime >_> Anyway, Now let's head over to the story...

Once upon a time, there was a group of cool people in school... King Kaname is their leader, though apparently, he's not on this screencap. The blonde guy hates emo people so he starts his turn on eliminating them on school.

"<--- You emo dude! You're outta here!"

"I'm not emo. She is -->", said by the emo guy, who hides his true emo secret.

"What that girl was emo??? Ewww! Die!!!", said by the students...

*Together in chorus*: "YYYEEEEAAAHHH." The school socialites had mistaken the brickhead girl for being an emo person, but in fact, she wasn't. She's just a raep victim.

*flashback* No! Stop it! You naughty little emo boy!

King Kaname knows everything. The emo boy is actually his smex slave. "Keep our secret ok? *winks*", said by the king to his dog.

"Yes m'lord!"...

While the king is daydreaming of his dirty fantasies together with his slave...

The side characters are staring blankly into space...

EMO IN THE MIRROR!!!! BOOOOO!

The white-haired emo guy knew the truth. He didn't raep the brickhead girl for he is just a hot slave of King Kaname...

...And the brickhead girl is the slave of a possesed loli.

His emo moment had been ruined by the brickhead girl.

"Come on you naughty little emo boy! This is my payment for disturbing you... Come on, don't be shy! Kyaaa~", said by the flirtacious slut.

Emo guy: "Ehem. Must not fall into temptation."

Brickhead Girl: "He's gay, right?"

Kaname is not the only pedobear in this show...

"Oniichan..."...

Somebody invites the brickhead innocent girl to get ummm... hosted. It's Kyoya-senpai from Ouran Host Club. (Kyaaa! Megane-vampaya!!!) "Come here my lady", said the male host.

"TEH NIGHT CLASS HOST CLUB IS BETTER!!!", all Night Class hosts gathered up to prevent the Ouran hosts from earning too much profit.

*All in chorus*: YYYYEEEAAAHHH.

"Take my hand brickhead girl, and you'll enjoy yourself in the Night Class Host Club better than in Ouran.", said King Kaname, who wholeheartedly invites hte innocent girl to the NCHC (I got too lazy to type >_>)

The innocent girl declined his offer and she just joined the fun at the Ouran High School Host club (because in there, there is a wide variation, better comedy, and WAY BETTER animation quality...)

Epic fail end.

EPILOGUE: The Night Class students chit-chat about how should they make VK Guilty a better viewing for Kanzeon...

"What are we going to do to please our Kanzeon?...", said by the side character.

"I should get more screentime together with Rima!", said by the chestnut-haired boy with silvery eyes.

"Kanzeon got tired of the whiny emo angst happening here... However, Rima and I can still make this show more interesting!"

"Plus my job as a judge on Anime's Next Top Model was over and I needed more stint. Shiki and I were much cooler than that love triangle by the way...", said by the haughty blonde-hair girl with Cerulean Blue eyes.

"Kanzeon would also love if I get MOAR screentime and a scene where I get to slap Kaname back!", said by Aido...

...And Sayori should get more screentime too other than those bedroom scenes with Yuuki...

Lol, that was a fake summary XD... So here's the real thing...

Yuuki was back again on guarding the Day Class fangirls from raging unto the Night Class students. Yuuki trips then she was caught by Zero, but she thought that it was Kaname. Yuuki is soooo stupid for having thought that it was Kaname and she thanked him for catching her but she soon later realized that it was Zero. Continuing on with their duties on their jobs and after a few angsty emo moments from Yuuki, she saw Zero and started a conversation with him regarding blood. Zero became disturbed by Yuuki's sudden liberal attitude towards him so he just left her to prevent him from being tempted by her blood.

They were told that Maria Kurenai was back in the academy resting. She explains what she felt from the Shizuka incident. Maria then had mistook Zero for Ichiru and then faints. Yuuki went to the farther areas of the school ground but she got in trouble as a vampire in a tuxedo sees her. Zero then comes to rescue Yuuki and killed the vampire who was trying to hurt Yuuki by shooting him. After the incident, the duo got attacked and cornered by more vampires in the same outfit like the one Zero killed. The Night Class students then came to find out whats happening and they killed mostly all of the vampires. Kaname asked one of them which was still alive what are they doing here and one of the vampire said that Kaname's Master Rido Kuran was coming over. Kaname became mad so he killed the vampire he asked then he asked the others to run away to spare their lives.

After that, Kaname attempts to touch Yuuki as he asks her if she's alright but she backs up the hell away. Ruka became irritated to Yuuki because of her attitude towards 'her' Kaname-sama. Yuuki then asks Kaname to stop treating her like a child anymore. Later on Zero was about to go in the shower when he saw Yuuki towel so he stopped. He takes a nap to wait then had a dreamed of Shizuka with blood which he thought he killed her then. She then turned into Yuuki with blood all over her neck so Zero cried out Yuuki's name as he woke up from his dream. Yuuki was sitting in front of Zero drying her hair with her towel so she was puzzled when Zero said her name. Zero became scared and hugs Yuuki and attempts to kiss her.

ED Theme - Suna no Oshiro by Kanon Wakeshima

Another eerie dark song by Kanon Wakeshima. Again, I liked it somehow song-wise but the video could have been better. It would have been more nice to see other stuff than Yuuki being sexually aroused in sand X_X... I kinda like the butterfly-in-blood thing trapped at a spiderweb at the end though. Whatever that is, it's overall passable and hot.

Haha, I'm in a very Halloween-esque (is that even a word?) mood today! Ok so this is pretty random but it was one of those moments where you wants to scream THAT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!! ^-^'

So yeah today while I was volunteering at this fall festival type thing, (I was working a wildlife booth) and my friend was like "hey those people over there are wearing trash bags." And me, being well me, was all excited was like "WHERE WHERE?!" So I looked all around the area until I found them and was like haha they are trash bags, why would you wear that? But then they got closer and I realized that they weren't trash bags but COSPLAYERS! (I needed my glasses to see all the details)

I practically screamed because you wouldn't really see that kind of thing at the event I went. It mostly consists of activities for kids, food vendors from all over and establishments and groups that need more people. There is also music, hay mazes, giant pumpkins (all the October/Fall related stuff).

XD Yeah so there were like three of them, I only really recognized two. One was Axel, another was wearing an Organization XIII cloak, and the third was wearing a Moon Dorm uniform from Vampire Knight! KYA!!! XD I ran up to them and asked if I could take their pictures and they agreed (THANK YOU!). Some of my other anime obsessed fan friends saw and made me take more pictures for them!

So when I got home I rushed to get this out XD Haha! No I'm not going to post their pictures because I don't have their consent, if I ever do I will but I'm not sure I'll see them again so you guys will just have to deal with the pictures of the characters/outfits XD

ON SORT OF RANDOM NOTE (WELL ITS SORT OF RELATED):

While I was volunteering I got very frustrated because STUPID PEOPLE kept thinking that we killed animals! WHAT THE HECK?! I would NEVER do that!!! RAWR!!!

Okay, let me explain. So I was working at a wildlife refuge booth, A REFUGE booth! I'm not sure what they thought refuge meant, but refuge to me means, a safe place used to protect people and or items. Yeah so, we had animal pelts (muskrat, rabbit, coyote, fox, skunk, otter, and beaver) and three bird wings (Great Grey Owl, Red-tailed Hawk, and Barn Owl) out to show people what kind of animals were out on the refuge.

It was going pretty well (it was fun to see their reactions to touching a skunk pelt) until we got to these people, who gave a looks of disgust. It was kind of like they were looking down on us, like they were saying, "My god! Who are you horrible people! I would never allow my child or myself to touch that". At first I thought they just didn't want to touch the pelts, which I can sort of understand (well not really I grew up with my dad dragging me places going "lets touch the animals or lets learn about the environment" he's a pretty outdoorsy kind of guy), but then I over heard some people say, "that's horrible, how can they kill these animals just to display their skins to small children!"

I was like WHAT THE @*$#^&*( YOU @#$*_) SAY THAT ONE MORE TIME! HAVE YOU NOT SEEN OUR SIGN, THAT CLEARLY STATES WE ARE A REFUGE?! Well I was like that in my head of course, so I walked over to them was kindly explained they all died of natural causes and these pelts are used for educational purposes ONLY, because we are a REFUGE! She looked a little embarrassed and I was like yeah take that lady (but now I feel kind of bad sorry lady).

Well I guessed only one person wouldn't be so bad, but that's the thing, there were even MORE stupid people who kept thinking the same thing! I mean come on people, this is a fall festival with tons of little kids running around, yeah they're really going to allow a poaching/hunting association to interact with little kids. Jeez! -___-

GAH! It just got me really angry because they automatically assumed we killed them all for this! NUUU! WHO ON EARTH WOULD DO THAT?! RAWR!!! *fuming silently* I'm going back tomorrow with another friend, this time I hope the people have more common sense!

Tales of Abyss:Gostei muito da animação e design de personagen e cenários, ainda não vi um episodio completo com legendas mas acho que vai ser uma boa anime até porque é baseado num grande jogo que saiu originalmente na Playstation 2

Bem e por agora são as animes que vou acompanhar, ainda espero por Tytania,Vampire Knight Guilty e Ef Tale of Melodies

1. Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)
   The manga is somewhat intriguing, at least, that's what I think what with the demon-like-butler who serves a 12-year-old boy. By "demon-like" I don't mean that Sebastian (yes, that's the name of the butler) is evil it's just that he seems to have some supernatural powers.

   

2. Nodame Cantabile: Paris-Hen
   It's a 11-episode sequel to the first season set in Paris, the city of romance! Anyways, one can look forward to see more Nodame's misadventures in her musical journey alongside her "husband", Chiaki. Lol. It may not be as good as its live-action counterpart as some said, but am looking forward to its second season...

   

3. Vampire Knight Guilty
   I wasn't really impressed with the first season (still, I managed to watch the entire first season) but heck, I'm watching the second one anyways...and the Kaname-Zero-Yuki-love-triangle-vampire sage continues with this one...
   
4. Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae (Hell Girl)
   A continuation from Jigoku Shoujo Futakumori. I wonder, with the demise of Enma Ai, who will be the next Hell Girl aka Jigoku Shoujo?

   

5. Hakushaku to Yousei
   Hmm...not sure what to make of this one. Am not a fan of fluffy shoujo anime series but this series looks somewhat interesting. Okay, I have to admit that the art is the reason why I would watch it...

   

On another note, D.Gray-man anime has ended its run with its 103rd episode...boohoohoo!! Am a huge fan of the series...hopefully there will be another run of D.Gray-man anime in the future...in the meantime, I have to make do with just the manga...

Kuroshitsuji - Don't know if I'll get around to watching this one. I'll watch the first few episodes maybe, and then we'll see.

Tales of the Abyss - Maybe.

Vampire Knight Guilty - The first season was terrible. Absolutely terrible. I still have no idea why it was so hyped. I hear the manga is great, but I'm gonna hold off reading it until after watching this, for the sake of lessening the disappointment.

Kaname > Zero by the way.

There is so much stuff that I'm having a hard time keeping them straight. I've already put away most of the items for storage and I'll try to write up evaluations of individual things in the coming week or two. I'm too busy with schoolwork to do so now.

Quick impressions:

- The Vampire Knight costume fit me perfectly around the shoulders, but it's a little too long. I'm not sure why. The jacket is very thick and it's quite warm to wear the whole set. The skirt is definitely a foot too long or something like that. I'm not sure why, since the costume is supposed to be Size S, meant for people 151cm to 158cm tall (I am 155cm tall). I might have to bring out my sewing machine to correct it.

- The Ayu backpack was smaller than I thought it be. Between that and the Kodomo no Jikan mini-randoseru, I don't know what to do with two tiny backpacks.

- The Ouran production setting books had me swooning in fangirl land for a while over delicious Kyoya; I have such a crush on him. I wonder why some anime series never release their production sketches as books. I'd definitely buy up the ones for Code Geass.

- The Clannad Visual Fanbook was heavy, huge, and simply gorgeous. Wow.

- I'll be wearing the Hatsune Miku wallet chain on my pants for days to come. You know it.

- I immediately replaced Rolo's locket on my cellphone with the Anya swing (cellphone charm). It's quite bulky for a cellphone charm though, so I think it might get dinged up very quickly. Best to switch back to the Rolo locket soon. I also got the secret fortune from the Code Geass R2 Dokidoki Chara Fortune set, Rolo (Geass ver.), but it's definitely too precious to use as a cellphone charm. Oh God, Rolo~

- I got my 1/1 scale replica of Code Geass Black King chess piece and Lancelot key with the Prop Plus Lelouch & Suzaku figurines. That was the only reason why I bought them.

- Cheap Zero mask is cheap. It's so Asian. It didn't quite fit over my dormmate's face.

yuuki is a bit of a skank, my apologies. she's pretty dumb in the manga too. like "thats dangerous? you dont say? lets do it! ya!"

some cool pix of the manga and anime and then real ppl. they have good costumes and wigs as well.

iono what my deal is cuz this stuff is usually a lil morbid for me but i have been dying to read "breaking dawn" to find out what all the hype is about and i guess this is how its manifesting itself...lolz

Akane Iro ni Somara Saka - Doesn't pique my interest nor push any buttons.

Battle Spirits Shounen Toppa Version - lol kids show that I'm not watching.

Bihada Ichizoku - I assume that I'll never need cosmetics in my life, so I also assume that I'll never need this in my life either. Prove me wrong on the latter, I guess?

Casshern SINS - Caps make everything better, but no interest on it right now.

Chaos;Head - English in anime names are fun times (Sketchbook ~full color'S~), but I'm not planning on watching it though.

CLANNAD ~After Story~ - Really liked the first season, but I hear this is more typical-Key. So I'm banking on not liking this as much.

Ef ~A tale of melodies~ - SHAFT led me to a tale of memories, and I drunk it. Expect similar things here.

Ga-rei Zero - My first glimpse of this was from Kodansha's panel at Otakon, and even then nothing stirred inside.

Gundam 00 Second Season - I'm too anal to start something "midway", so probably on my "backlog".

Hakushaku to Yousei - Not sure if this Count will be as cool as Edmond Dantes, so I'll wait to see what others say about it.

Hyakko - This stuff is like bread and butter for me, and the manga chapters I read were pretty entertaining, so of course I'm watching it. Not watching because of character designs is overrated.

Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden: Ten no Haoh - Manly slice-of-life, from the villain's POV.  Might watch it, but should work some more on Golgo 13 first.

Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae - See Gundam 00 Second Season. Also waiting for the Shigofumi OVA to be subbed.

Junjou Romantica - lol at joke in RenAi Blogger. No interest on watching it.

Kannagi - I think people might be overlooking another possible gem here (there, I said it.). Another show I'll be watching as it comes out, but with that there was more Crazy Shrine Maidens than what I saw in the manga.

Kemeko Deluxe - Also up my alley in another comedic sense it seems. Should keep an eye on it.

Kurogane no Linebarrel - Hearing that Kana Ueda was in it was enough for me to watch fact that Corniche is doing the music (love the job they did with Hitohira) just makes a must see for me.  Hating on a studio is overrated.

Kuroshitsuji - I'm a fan of badass maid(guy)s and butlers, so of course I'll be checking this out as well.

Kurozuka - There are too many "Kuro"s this season. From my limited memories of the manga, this is mature, gritty stuff, so fringe alert?

Macademi Wasshoi - To show off my hypocrisy and shallowness, this looks too silly for my tastes from first glance. Prove me wrong again, I guess. :3

Michiko to Hatchin - Another must-watch for me. All I hope is to see someone who knows and uses Capoeira among everything else in the show, since it's set in Brazil-like area and all. :P

Nodame Cantabile Paris-hen - Loved season one, so right there for season two, if nothing more than to hear Ayako Kawasumi as Nodame again.

Noramimi 2 - See Gundam 00 blah blah blah...

One Outs - Will watch because it's cool to be anti-irrational dislike. Also because the pitcher reminds me of Hiruma from Eyeshield 21.

Rosario to Vampire CAPU2 - Remember what I said about sequels where I haven't seen the original? Me too, plus this is no Kanokon.

Skip Beat - Not in a romantic mood lately. Or ever, now that I think about it. :/

Shikabane Hime: Aka - Not something I'll keep up with, but something I'll probably watch during the season when I'm done with everything else.

Stitch - Another lol kids show I'm not watching.

Tales of the Abyss - I might need to watch more video game-based shows anyway.

Tantei Senshi Sunred - Looks like lol random humor, which means a d("d) from me. :D

To Aru Majutsu no Index - If I watched this, it's because the nun uniform reminds me of Orange Planet's undinewear. :P

Toradora - Most overcome my fear of a stereotypical Rie Kugiyama role to watch it.  Said overcoming is a work in process.

Tytania - Epic space operas aren't usually my thing, but I also think more people should check it out. I don't know why though.

Vampire Knight Guilty - Yeah... sequels... :/

Yozakura Shiusou ~Yozakura Quartet~ - Last time I watched something because a cast pic look interesting, it was Rental Magica. Hopefully this will be better, as I'm taking this risk again.

Note: There are no spoilers in this review. Everything I talk about is revealed in the 1st episode.

Quick Summary
Cross Academy has two sets of students, the Day Students and the Night Students, and the Night Students happen to be vampires. The goal of the school is to create a peaceful environment for both humans and vampires to live in and put to rest the age old war between the two races, although the Day Students don't know that the eerily beautiful Night Students are actually vampires. The vampires at the school thrive on a pill that allows vampires to receive nutrition without harming humans for their blood. But a vampire's hunting instinct is still difficult to control...

Characters

Yuki

Yuki is the adopted daughter of the chairman at Cross Academy. She is one of two students from the Day Class that are aware that the Night Class students are actually vampires. Thus she acts as a prefect that guards the Day Class from interacting too much with the Night Class. Although her first memory is of being attacked by a blood thirsty vampire her second memory is of another vampire (Kaname) saving her. All her memories prior to this event have been forgotten, including knowing the identity of her family. Yuki loves Kaname very much and bears no ill will towards vampires, even though she acknowledges that there is a high possibility that her family was attacked by vampires. Vampires seem to be especially attracted to Yuki's blood and she often finds herself under assualt. Yuki is a positive and accepting person that just wants to see those around her happy. Although Yuki loves Kaname she stops herself from acting on her feelings because she is very aware that vampires are completely different creatures from humans. Her weapon of choice is a staff named Artemis that can only be wielded by humans.

Zero

Zero could be considered the polar opposite of Yuki, his entire family was slaughted by a vampire and he loathes them entirely. Zero distrusts almost everyone and wants to put himself at a distance from others. He was also taken in and raised by the chairman (although not adopted). He acts as the other prefect with Yuki because he distrusts the vampires and their promise not to drink the blood of humans. His weapon of choice is a gun named Crossing that can only harm vampires.

Kaname

Kaname is one of the few Pureblood vampires. Pureblood vampires are the most powerful vampires that exist and if they will it, they can wield complete control over all other vampires (whether they want to be controlled or not). It's because of Kaname's influence that the delicate peace of Cross Academy is maintained. Kaname rescued Yuki from a vampire when she was young.

Review Blurb

The art style and animation of this series is absolutely beautiful. Every scene is a little bit of eye candy for the viewer, I'm especially fond of how Zero was drawn (a.k.a. he is my favorite piece of eye candy). I greatly admire the manga-ka that created this series, I think she has a uniquely beautiful approach in her character designs. I'm especially fond of the uniform designs, they're not too plain or too overdone and succeed in being quite original in comparison to other shoujo anime uniforms. The best part of the uniforms is how the Day Students wear dark uniforms with light trim and the Night Students where white uniforms with dark trim, not only is it ironic but it's also functional (since dark colors are best seen during the day and light colors are best seen during the night).

Initially I disliked the opening when a friend linked it to me as a "great anime opening", but when I began actually watching the series it grew on me. There is so much symbolism that perfectly reflects the events that are ocurring and subtley foreshadows what will occur without really giving away anything. I also really like the song choice, the animation matches the fast pace of the song so there is a lot to look at in this opening.

My only complaint about the opening is that at the very end it shows Yuki asleep on a bed in an ugly purple dress and waking up when 'someone' puts their hand on her shoulder to wake her up. The way the dress looks and the way she moves her head as she wakes up looks weird/dumb to me. Such an odd little thing to dislike but I do.

The closing sequence takes things a bit slower and has more of a gothic feel to it. I usually hate songs that have a slow pace...but I love this one. Both the opening and closing songs are on my MP3 player, but this is the song I'll hit repeat for every time it pops up on my playlist. The ending is just as symbolic of the plot as the opening, I like the dark and eerie feel it gives off.

Whats on her lap that looks like a light saber? I have ABSOLUTELY no idea. I've watched the ending almost every single episode and I can't figure out what it is. Seems like it should be her staff Artemis but I don't think thats quite it. EDIT: It's the mirror!!! I don't know why I didn't see that.

My favorite aspect of the series is how Zero and Yuki interact. They have a great relationship even though Zero holds everyone around him (Yuki included) at an arm's length or more away. Despite this Yuki has a fairly good understanding of Zero and his mannersims. One of my favorite parts is in the image below where Yuki interprets Zero's angry face for the chairman.

This shoujo series has something that few shoujo series has...action! I love fighting scenes but I also love when the characters have relationships that may lead to romance. In a Shonen series it might hint at romance between 2 characters but they generally tend to steer clear of too many details. Whereas many Shojo series fully explore the budding relationship between two characters but there is little to no action. A series like this is the solution to that dilemna!

The director brought out the humor in this series really well. He uses backgrounds (such as the one pictured below) to emphasive the comical situation and the faces the characters make are too preciously funny. Nothing makes me attach to characters more then when they cause me to smile...thats probably why I don't care for Kaname so much in comparison to the rest of the cast. Kaname doesn't really invoke any humor in the series, but it makes sense that the 'dark prince' of vampires wouldn't be full of chuckles. Although I suspect as the series progresses and the plot gets more and more serious, humor might have to take a backseat. I'll just have to see when I watch the next series (Vampire Knight Guilty).

How is the manga?
I know this is a review on the anime but I can't help but comment on the manga. I read the manga first (I'm caught up to Japan in the manga) yet I think the anime is better. The anime stays truthful (so far) to the manga but adds more humor. I also like seeing these particular characters in color more...mmmm Zero especially. This is, to date, only the second shoujo series where I would recommend the anime over the manga (Fruits Basket being the first). As of right now the anime is incomplete compared to the manga though.

A bit too many pictures? I admit I got a bit carried away taking screenshots. There are just too many cute/beautiful/dark scenes just even in the first episode for me to resist not going overboard.

Okay, so following the success of the prioritization matrix for 'divining' what shows to drop, I decided to try it out on the anime rankings as well.  Guess what?  It works!  I mean, I generate 50% less wrinkles while trying to decide which slot Code Geass 2 should be in, or how to control my mecha love to obtain some sort of objectivity for the top ranking.  Now let's get to it!

• Macross Frontier #1

Yeah it manages to eke out ARIA by a slim margin.  I just finished watching the last episode, and before I ramble on, there is only one thing:  I don't like Ranka.  If this does happen in the movie, maybe my mind will change.  Otherwise, she's not worthy of succeeding Minmay and Basara.

• ARIA Origination #2

I was really eyeing this as the top anime, but the matrix 'betrayed' me lol.  If no new anime manages to impress more, then the top 2 spots are assured in the final rankings.  Unless the next anime manages to level up.  And I mean...

• Xam'd #3

There's a lot of potential here--the Eureka 7 vibes are giving it a boost.  I like the mystery, it's so like in Eureka 7 where the revelations feel like they just happen at the perfect time.  And I smell a love triangle.  I just love love triangles.  :D

• Xxxholic Kei #4

Beats Kurenai, I don't know how that happened lol.  But I suspect it has something to do with the ending.  This series ended well.

The series was good, but as implied above, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the ending.  Maybe just 85%.

• Natsume Yuujincho #6

Relaxing atmosphere, nice stories, nice animation, and a funny cat.  This is what makes this series good in my eyes.

Funny, yes.  Intellectually, well I just don't think about it too much.  What's important is that I enjoyed this series.

• Code Geass 2 #8

There are times I hope for the best out of this show. there are times I want to forgive its shortcomings, and there are times I wish they'd just ended at one season.  I haven't finished this yet, so my final judgement is still to come.

The Utena spoof comes to mind everytime I think of this show.  There were parts of the show that I didn't like, but over-all the thing is I still view this show with a little fondness.

It;s only been a few months since this show ended and now I really can't recall how I felt about this show.  Maybe I'm still not 100% sure how to think about it?

• Mouryou no Hako (Box of Goblins) - Something dark for a change.
• Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter - More Nodame!  But I wonder how it would turn out now that I watched the live-action version first.

• Skip Beat! - It's not really my type of show but I guess I'll give this one a try to counter the gloomy series on this list.
• Tytania - Oh yeah oh yeah the director worked on SDF Macross!  But most of the cast are males and I wonder if I'd get bored with testosterone overdose.  Actually there's a special preview out now.  At first I was getting Banner/Crest of the Stars vibes, until I heard the upbeat music.  They better have an engaging plot.  Link: Special.

this is the beginning & ending themes...i read it AND watch it, for watching it they have good sound effects but for reading it i love the artwork...so take ur pick, i love both, i dont much like vampires or w/e although i am also reading the twilight saga, i am just a girl, which means i am a complete sucker for romantic anything.

I was able to finish the series in two days between classes and studying time, so maybe that speaks for how enjoyable the show is to watch or how I watch too much anime. In either case, to comment on some of my first impressions, I was surprised in actually how minimal the conflict between choosing Zero or Kaname actually was for Yuuki. Yea, there are times when the series goes into how undecided and confused she is (even Zero brings it up with Yuuki) but there's no gut-wrenching moments of indecision or big confessions that end up straining the relationship between one of the characters in the love triangle that you might see in other romance animes. I'm happy about that. Good job for not taking 3 episodes to decide to help Zero and then wavering and crying about it after the decision. In fact, there isn't much resistance on Kaname's part and the more central focus of the series was between Yuuki and Zero (looks like the writers didn't add flashy chains and an uber-cool name to their protagonist just for show).

I could go into how well they've set up Zero's suffering/new found resolve to live on/resolution of his past/etc, but I won't. People how like Zero probably already know and can express it better while people who like Kaname more are probably more interested in how much he gives for Yuuki and stuff like that. I'll just say 1) for me, the set up was about on the level of Sasuke's whole bit in Naruto and I didn't think it was particularly anything special, just well executed and 2) yea, Kaname probably does do a lot of things for Yuuki's sake, but I feel like he's actually very twisted - as in, he's plotting something and what he does serves his own motives too. I was reading some comments after ep13 where people are making him out to be a saint, but I don't buy it at all. I'm thinking he gave Zero some of his blood more because Zero is still useful for him in his grand scheme of things and less for Yuuki, even though that's what he says. I don't know - I don't plan on reading the manga, so we'll be finding out with the seond season in October. Speaking of that scene, I will say thankfully that it was the first even remotely yaoi moment in a series that I thought would be using it more with all the bishies running around (kinda like a reverse fan service for girls).

There was some action, but the degree of action has been disappointing, so I guess its just not that kind of show, whether they want to run that part in the OP   where the different night students are throwing around their powers or not. The OP ("Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi" - On/Off) is pretty awesome songwise, and the clip of the ED ("Still Doll" - Kanon Wakeshima), though short, is hauntingly beautiful. So all in all, I was pretty happy with the show and will look forward to the second season.

The earliest series to air would be Hakushaku to Yousei (Duke and Fairy in English). It's gonna air tomorrow, really! Hehe.

I'm quite excited. I'm expecting quite a lot from it ever since I watched the PV (promotional video) or trailer. I found about it while I was browsing Ponycanyon's website. I came across a page full of news. It was actually an information site and blog about anime's. I was there to check Skip Beat! news but ended up clicking Duke and Fairy's website instead. Haha!

I checked the characters and found out the Duke's going to be voiced by one of my favorite seiyuus. Not only the duke but a few of the other characters as well.

First it was Midorikawa Hikaru, then I find out Nana Mizuki's voicing the female character, then I see another familiar name! Sugita Tomokazu! The most I was surprise to see the name was Koyasu Takehito-san's! -laughs-

I've missed him a lot! I've not heard him voice a chara for awhile. I kinda missed Pesche in BLEACH, so I hope to see that char soon and I hope the fillers end already! -grins-

So anyways...I also saw the PV there. I love the characters and their design so I'm hoping quite a lot from the series. Even though it may not contain romance, even though I'm such a romance-idiot, I guess I can forget about it for a specific anime. -sticks out tongue- I guess I'll just watch another series with that genre in it. Haha~

Anyways...Hyakko would be airing October 1. I guess that's the next one on my list that would air next. I saw the PV too. I thought at first it might be an ecchi series...which I hate the most. -grunts- But, I guess it's not when I checked it on Wiki. It was actually a comedy-induced series. I think it's another parody-based series..I'm not quite sure. But I'd like to watch it.

Another reason for me to be excited in watching it...was because I saw that the voice actors are all seiyuus I know a lot. Out of the 4 main characters, I know 3 of their seiyuus. Namely, Neya Michiko, Orikasa Fumiko and Hirano Aya. Yes, they're well known, ne?

I personally like Fumiko-san. She has portrayed a lot of chars that I like. One would be Shirley from Code Geass. Her portrayal of Rukia was great too, but I'm not a big Rukia fan...not that I don't like her. I'm just quite picky with characters I tend to like.

Anyways! 3rd on my list to air next would be...Kuroshitsuji. In English, Black Butler. A butler from hell? Well it would seem there are a lot of demon-related stuff in this series...but I was surprise to see a hilarious chibi old man in the PV.

So maybe this series would be quite funny and scary at the same time. I'll be watching this...I'll most likely review it too and inform everyone if it's something worth the watch or not.

I'm most excited about Skip Beat! being animated though. I've been hoping for a PV for a long while now...but nothing. No news whatsoever about the trailer. I would hope for a pilot episode at least though.

Shugo Chara!! Doki!'s another one to be extremely excited about. You would think I don't watch these kinds of anime, huh? Magical girl and such. I have my fair share though! I may not like some that I don't really find that interesting...but Shugo Chara! can be quite entertaining to watch.

A friend on YM introduced this story to me and I've come to love it a lot. I like the manga a lot, but the anime has its fair share in it as well. Maybe because it's fun seeing the characters animated and saying something. Hehe. Ikuto has a sexy voice, so...hahaha! I'm kidding. I'm not watching this series for Ikuto...more likely than not, I'm into watching it because of the pairing. Amu and Ikuto FTW!

I think that's one of the things that got me to start watching this. That friend showed me a pic of them...so I was totally into checking the series. I read the manga first to see a glimpse. The manga's aimed for teenagers to adults though but the anime's aimed for children to adults alike. Either way, I love them the way they are. Anime or manga. I'd kill to get more of the manga though! Since I've only read 'til chapter 20. I don't mind seeing just raw either...seriously...I just have to get my hands on it! -laughs-All thos AmuTo moments! Maaannn!! Aahhh! -goes into fangirl mode- Hahaha!!

Anyways...Gundam 00 2nd Season is another one I'm hoping to watch soon! I can't believe I'm waiting for it when I haven't even finished watching the first season! -panics- Aaah! Vampire Knight's continuition comes out the 6th of next month. -sigh- Is it just me...or is that title being ironic with me? -shifty eyes- I *AM* quite guilty for getting interested in watching the first season, so I finished it even though I was disappointed with it. So now if I don't watch this second season...I'm gonna feel guilt crawl through my body once again so I'm going to force myself to watch it. Besides...Aidou is LOVE. ♥ (I know that the Japanese spelled his name as "Idou" when they romanticized his name...you don't have to inform me.) Also I'm in it coz I'm a Zero fan and also a (retarded) ZeroYuuki fan. (Btw, I also know that they spell Yuuki's name Yuki. But whatever.) So now that I've cleared that out of my system...next series!

Waaii! Nodame Cantabile's Paris chapter has COME! I have been waiting even though I never thought there would be an anime! -laughs- I've watched the drama and special, even read the manga up 'til the Paris chapters, so I guess I was really hopeful for an anime version! ♥ Besides! It would be really funny to see Nodame and Chiaki kiss for the third time! -laughs- Wait... -counts- That's two in the manga, I think...one in the drama special (←cheap! xD) and so I'm hopeful for two kisses in the anime too! -runs around- Waaiii! -laughs- Ahahahaha~ I've seriously missed watching this series! I enjoyed watching the anime since it's the first adaptation I saw of the series. I came to really REALLY LOVE the anime version a lot so I guess it can't be helped! No, no! The drama adaptation is LOVE too! It's awesome too! I really really LOVE it too as it is! Even the manga, of course it can't be that I do not love it. I do. It's where the origination of the adaptations came from after all. You can't take that awesomeness away. It's just that...I'm seriously retardedly (←is that even a word? xD) in LOVE with the anime version!
